One podcast that I’ve come to love is Knitting Traditions. She’s a young doctor who lives in Norway! Her knitting projects are simply outstanding and right now one of the many projects she is working on is knitting a traditional Norwegian sweater that was the pattern used for the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer 1994. She’s gentle and soft spoken and usually shows us clips of her beautiful country.

❤ oh I soooo love Inga. Hers is my favourite podcast. If there’s a new episode out and she is recording often, I leave everything and watch. I watched her since she started back during Covid lockdowns and it brought me through that time. She is incredible.

Svenja, when I heard you were an NP my mouth dropped…most definitely knitting nurses unite!

Yet another nurse from southern Maryland here enjoying your podcast. I’m a surgical nurse and have been knitting and crocheting since I was 11. I’m now 62 and less than three years from retirement (please GOD) and rarely go a day without some yarn time. I even take it to work and sit in the hallway of the medical building while getting in a few rounds during my dinner breaks. Knitting is absolutely cathartic. I’ve always knitted and crocheted, but during Covid it became a lifeline to sanity. Sometimes I will take my project out of my knitting bag and just hold the needles for a few minutes to get back to calm. Thank you for your list of must-watch podcasters. Keep doing what you do and your nurse friends will keep watching you. ~Cynthia

Hi from the UK, my first time here and I love this video. I love Kay too and will definitely check out the other podcasters. I knit and crochet, knitting being my first love, my knitting has helped me through my grief too after loosing both parents in an 8 week period has definitely been hard. Love this video. I’ve been looking for some new knitspiration and I have started following all your recommendations as well as your channel. You give off such a great down to earth vibe that I really appreciate. I also understand what you said about never feeling like you quit fit in and finding similar people on line. I’m the only person I know in real life that knits and it seems like very few people do any type of crafts anymore. Keep up the awesome videos. Wow! What a great podcast, just what I needed to watch today. I am not finished watching yet, but had to comment that those podcasters you mentioned that I'm not already watching, I am now subscribed to. Thanks for that! Also, your comment about knitting keeping us busy until our mind is ready to deal with what it needs to deal with. Wow! I wish I could get this through to my daughter, who suffers with mental illness. I taught her to knit, but she hasn't gotten back into it. I hope some day! 🙏

I watched this episode all the way through and I subscribed. It turned out that I also like the same podcasters. So interesting to see and hear how knitters use this specific skill as meditation. I'm an older podcaster who just loves knitting.

fun to see podcasts I mostly haven't see yes, and for grief, I knit five sweaters and two vests after my husband passed away. It was so important to have that as I was moving through the early months. He was a wonderful and I was totally blessed.

Thanks for this incredible list. I am knitting my way through a year of treatment for stage one breast cancer. Too much time at home - over 65, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren’s syndrome and Covid have me isolated. Knitting podcasts keep me company.
