I've just looked it up on Google. as from 11.12.2015 it's against the NJ state law 39:4-34, to jog on the road if there's a sidewalk. and can be fined. Howard from 🇬🇧

Nice Freightliner Classic XL backing up. And no Johnny, he was not a better backer upper. I drive a small delivery van for my employer delivering auto parts and I have used your videos to help with my backing. Even though I don't have a trailer and I only used to drive a school bus part time in the past, I use your example when backing up!

Unfortunately John, a lot of homeowners/property owners do not keep sidewalks in good repair and level. Cities wash their hands of it, tell you it's the homeowner's responsibility - not theirs, and unless there is government money handed down to cities for sidewalks, and that's rare for routine stuff that isn't for things like special handicap modifications to curbs, they don't repair sidewalks. So there is less chance of turning an ankle, tripping yourself, or getting some other injury if you run on the street surface. I used to run a mile or 1.5 mile a night in my neighborhood, and it was always on the road, not sidewalks.

Road surfaces for cars are smoother and softer than a sidewalk for runners or walkers knees and legs. Besides unevenness bad repair and up and down curbs, when a runner chooses sidewalk they got to watch feet even more to avoid twisting ankles but worst hips knees ankles foot bones all feel even more like they’ve been through a meat grinder after a cement run versus an asphalt one. I used to run marathons living in Hawaii and first discovered this running the streets of Honolulu Hawaii at night in college days…at forty years old I’ll never run again as the damage to legs and knees is totally not worth it for me any longer…but true…treadmills with flex decks are very very boring…not exciting at all like dodging cars and the honking risking your life and endangering everyone pedestrian and driver. Wish someone could build a soft sidewalk that is both smooth and durable And Soft on the knees
