Dang, Jo!!! I can hardly believe this is the same garden from just a few weeks ago! It’s so full and lush and colorful! I want that larkspur!!! It does look incredible with the powwow berry coneflower! - I’ve never seen gaura that big before! And I had NO idea that oakleaf hydrangeas had a scent! What fun things to learn! You have made enchantment!!!

Thank you so much, Rachel! I’m so pleased with how it worked out. That gaura is an absolute monster! It was big last year, but not like THIS!! I’m loving it, and so happy to have something I know will be beautiful all summer.

This was just so beautiful to watch, the Gaura and OakLeaf Hydrangeas look so nice. Loved to see my favorite Salvia Farinacea with all those beauties. Thanks

Jealous of your larkspur! The germinate so readily, but I have learned that they do not like competition. I crowded like 95% of mine out with calendula... but somehow I have loads of volunteer snapdragons 😂 I am hoping my yarrow puts on enough growth before it gets too hot and it decides to slow down.

I am so happy either way them! I’m hoping they will re-seed, but I’m definitely buying more of that dark blue. So gorgeous! My yarrow got big, but I can’t remember how it did in the heat. Last summer’s drought is all just a blur.

Thanks what a beautiful display. My amaryllis are about gone too but the adjacent daylilies have started. I got a new Salvia-Love & Wishes at Joshua's native plants. Do you grow it? If so how has it done for you?

Thank you! My daylilies are full of buds too! I haven’t grown Love and Wishes before. A KZreadr I love, who is just outside of Houston, just did a video on salvias, and I think she grows it with great success. Her channel is Butterflies and Birds in the Backyard. You might take a look!

What was that first yellow flower? Also how long does the coneflower bloom? I always wanted to plant some and this year is all about trying new plants. I absolutely love the pink!

Hi! That first flower is a popcorn drift rose. The huge coneflowers I have in the backyard bloom for a few months in spring for me, but those deep pink PowWow Wild berry coneflowers in this video bloomed most of the year for me. They get kinda scruffy in the dead of summer, but still bloomed a bit. When it cooled off, the ramped back up.

It blooms most of the year for me. It gets kind of scruffy in the dead of summer, but as soon as it cools back down the flowers ramp back up. I think it is the only flower I will buy from now on!

@@JosTXGarden I've been wanting to grow this variety forever but didn't know if it would handle the humidity down here in Rockport.

I’ve occasionally had trouble with powdery mildew on other coneflower varieties before, but I don’t think that’s ever been a problem for PowWow! Seems to handle the humidity ok!
