They just showed how desperate RTE was to be like the BBC Grandstand or ITV World of Sport, except the BBC and ITV had the cash of thousands of pounds, RTE had £1.50 budget. Love how we see the Today Tonight logo appearing when the Sports Stadium sign starts to peel off.

That same french team lost out to west German in 82 wc semis on penos and went on win euros 84...hardly think they were shite
