In the UK military, we've got a version of the 1D10T called the I.D 10T. As part of their arrival to a unit after completing training, the new folks are asked to submit an application form for an I.D card, called the 10T. The application form requires a photo of them holding a sign saying ID10T with them wearing their issue respirator. (gas mask). Almost never fails.

Damn. That was a pleasant hazing. I'm jealous. One FNG we got during a house in Dearborn said he enjoyed painting. So crew lead took him a door, had the guy paint it. Would then take it to the other FNG(sn) and have him sand the paint off. Both of them on the either side of the house, away from each other. Lasted 2 an a half days until they took lunch together and came back pissed. "Where are all these damn doors going if we're both working on so many?" *Crew lead lights a 5th lunch cig* "It's been the same one for almost 3 days. I need it done by the end of the day, though. Timeline moved up." Anyone who got to day 5 without noticing got a talk. Not fired, but you're obviously not paying attention at that point.

I worked as a butcher and we had an ice machine for the fish counter. A new lass starting with us and I told her the ice in the machine gets broken up at the north pole and sent in by massive pipes. She was 18 so gullible af. She believed it. Told her it's full of minerals and keeps fish fresher for longer so that's why they used it. She legit held a piece in her hand and was like ''wow, the north pole'' she came in the next day and punched me in the arm over and over because she told her folks about it.

@@zXHawkxEyeXz electrical apprentice here, like he said there are some that are highly respectable and don’t treat you like this that will give you the time of day and enjoy spreading tricks and knowledge of the trade. It is also dependent on which area of the trade you go into, but say road crew in electrical there was 5? Service trucks and 2/5 were respectable. Service truck in electrical is also known to be where the fellons go to 80% of them being drinkers. You can always move around in your trade and go to a different company, which then you will be making same pay and have a different boss. Best of luck, always keep your head up and demand respect but also you can’t force someone to respect you, if they think your a dumbass for not knowing something your not taught that is on them being bad at there job and your superintendent’s and project managers don’t respect that.
