This video is from ten years ago. Demand for LTC homes has increased as baby boomers age. What are the chances of finding a suitable & affordable placement these days? What is the average life expectancy of new residents? My sister-in-law lasted five years but my Mum was in hers for just two before she passed.
I applied long term care few months ago, according to the girl who was making the application told me that the waiting time is about 5 to 7 years! I was surprised in disbelieve, I am 91 years old , if you ask me to wait for 5 to 7 years , I will be almost 100, how many people live to be almost 100 before gets in the long term senior home?
