    Another question I got: are summer courses looked down upon? It depends on the university and program. Summer school and night school courses have a different course code, so the universities will know. Some competitive programs, like at UofT and Waterloo, will look down on summer school courses but for most programs it should be fine.

    Hey Emily, this video was super informative! I know this comment is really late but I had a quick question about the top 6 grades. At 8:56 , you had mentioned that they look at your top 6 grades if you’re an Ontario student. Does this apply if I’m a BC student as well? If so, can my grade 11 courses and electives be counted into my top 6, even if they’re completely unrelated to what I want to study (ex. An art course)? Btw I’m interested in applying for U of T Rotman. Thanks again 🫶🫶

    Oh and just wanna clarify that I do realize that my Calc 12 and English 12 will be counted in my top 6!! I’m just referring to my other 4 courses😊 Also, I will be taking English 12 in the second semester of my grade 12 year. Does that mean they will use my English 11 mark in replacement until I receive my English 12 mark? If so, does this mean I will be accepted/rejected at a later date (since they cannot evaluate me until my Eng 12 mark is released?) rly sorry for all the questions 😭

  • @emily227

    @emily227

    11 ай бұрын

    @@leiju39 np! so yes they will tenporarily use your g11 mark to give you your offer, but there will be conditional requirements to maintain the offer, they look at your final mark in grade 12 june to determine if u keep ur offer or not.. usually conditional requirements are lower than acceptance/rejection offers (for ex: keep an 80% average to keep your offer)
