Applying Microcement Medium / Fine Top Coats using Cemher MicroDuo

Richie Butt, the lead installer at Relentless Interiors demonstrates the best way to apply microcement top coats onto a table top. The same technique can be used on microcement walls, floors and worktops. In this video, Richie explains how to mix microcement, how to apply microcement with a trowel and how long to leave it to dry for.

I'm jumping on the microcement train. Just been sent a sample pack. Dying to get into this. Similar to Venetian Plaster application 👏🔥

Nice work there. How do you clean the trowels pal, as the resin and water don't get on 😃

How do you get that cloudy and mottled look. Mine just looks like I've painted my wall a light grey and I've only got one more coat to go.

Hi Jamie once base coats applied leave over night and sand down with 40 grit then apply top coat like in video random movements then leave it 20 to 30 mins and apply second called fresh on fresh application you will get cloudy look 👀 if you want more burnishing leave it another 30 and keep troweling over it to reveal more texture 👍

I kind of trowel over the edge on the top surface & then take the excess down the sides - it’s not easy to explain, will do a video on it soon 👍
