I have struggled for 55-60 yrs with eye shadow. Watched every video there is!!! For years!! YOURS was the FIRST explanation that made it simple , showed exactly how and where to place the color, and why!! All in one video. 😊 I just found you tonight and have subscribed. I’m 77 years old. Thank you!!

Me also. 68. And am not about to start slapping on false eyelashes. I see too many with big white spots on their lashes and lashes like butterflies have lost their way.
This was probably the MOST helpful eyeshadow tutorial I’ve EVER seen! You didn’t use ten thousand products and brushes with complicated techniques! I tried it out for myself with several palettes and it worked great each time!
I usually don't comment on videos like this...today was the first time I did my makeup on my own following this tutorial, and the moment I put on mascara, I started to cry...I've never felt so pretty, thank you for sharing this, so simple and easy!
Thank you MandyLea. Even at 65 years old, I am still learning. That you so much for your great videos on how to create a perfect eye makeup.

(Sharon Shneyer), I'm almost 64 and have a problem that most people my age don't have, extremely oily eyelids (oily skin too). Perhaps I am lucky never having to have wrinkles. I have had oily eyelids my whole life; the oil drips from my forehead down to my eyes, few products that I have tried make a difference in how long my eye shadow stays on. I am still masking, but I would like to wear eye shadow.

I'm 60 and this is the BEST tutorial I have seen. Thank You Mandy, so simple, even I can do this.
I’m 64 and have worn eye makeup since I was 14. You taught me some wonderful new techniques to apply to my routine. Thank you!
What I like about you and this tutorial, you are just enhancing your true beauty, The look is not overly done with the huge fake brows and lashes. It is a real, duplicatable look, great ideas for all women, it brings out your own beauty and I plan on trying the look soon. I cannot wait! Thank you!

Exactly. ....all the fake lashes, the deep pigments, the crazy long fake nails, the fake injected lips....it's a bit too much for my real, unfilled, naturally ugly face lol....If I follow every step, the finished look is that of a circus clown. This lady keeps it real. 😊
Love how you talked us through the process, please do more of this type video.😁

AGREED!!
Of the dozens of makeup tutorials I've binge watched, this has got to be the best one yet. She just said all the things I needed to hear. Everything about brushes and the color to choose. Nobody talks about choosing colors! Thank you!
Tutorials feel like a lost art in current makeup KZread and I am glad you did this! Everyone brings a slightly different approach to even a very similar look (this look is very similar to my bread and butter format but with some tiny changes that I plan to try) and that is why it's valuable to watch multiple takes on what seems to be the same look. I sent this to my mom. 🙂 She hasn't spent as much time learning techniques as I have and this seems like a good video for her especially.
Since 2020, I have watched hundreds of hours makeup video and watched or read dozens of “beginner” tutorials and none of them gave me as clear and helpful direction on how to apply pigment outer-V as you did in this one. I tried it today and it worked splendidly. You may have revolutionized my makeup routine.
I have watched so many makeup videos over the years and I must say this is the ABSOLUTE simplest and best eyeshadow application video ever. Anyone can do this and the application can apply to anyone. Thank you for this video!
In case no one has said this yet, thank you for not blowing up my KZread alerts with shorts. I can appreciate that there is a pressure to do short form content, but I absolutely hate getting notifications and alerts on my phone telling me that a creator I follow has posted - only to find that it is just a short. So annoying.

Your technique is what first made me follow you. I always loved your multiple looks one palette videos. I love how you can work color into an eye look without it being over the top.
This is by far the easiest eyeshadow application to understand ❤
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I’m 78, and love glitters, but they always looked crappy because I used it above the lid. The way you showed in this vid makes it possible for me to wear it! 👍🏻❤️
I’m 50 and have watched tons of these types of videos but this is by far my favorite 🤩 so informative
Like the peach color, it makes your eyes stand out and look beautiful.
Love this!!! Will be referring to this to help me use my palettes. I never know where to begin!!
Excellent tutorial! I’m a few years older than you but I’ve learned a lot from you today. Thank you so much
New subscriber here. You just cut through the noise and solved the lifetime mystery of how to simply and beautifully apply eyeshadow. This is fantastic. I don’t have to attempt a triple cut crease lol and I no longer fear my eyeshadow palettes 😂!
Loved this - both the live demo and your talking through different palettes at the end. Very well explained! ♥ Elle
OK Mandy...I finally went out to the Persona website and purchased that brush! If it helps me makes my shadow application look like yours then it's worth every cent! Thanks for this video!
When it comes to makeup, I’m not a pro but I’m definitely not a beginner and while I don’t necessarily need to learn how to apply eyeshadow, you can always learn something new and I just love your videos!!! 🥰
This lesson in eyeshadow application was fantastic. I can now use my palettes with much more confidence. Would love more application lessons eg. Contour, bronzer etc
This is great and it even works with hooded eyes if you remember to go with the actual eye bone structure. Love the more colorful look. I always l😊ve your looks and the combos you use. The one thing that blows me away is that your eyes look so big to me, I don’t know what you say they are small. And then you do this technique and put mascara one and then they are huge and don’t even have falsies on! Thank you for the tutorial!
Thank you for sharing this tutorial with us. I am 53 and still in need of help with my makeup. Love your videos and love you
You did an excellent job explaining your technique! I have found using your way of doing the outer part so helpful to my eye shape. I bought the wet n wild eyeliner on your recommendation back a while. Thank you for taking the time to slow walk us through the process. ♥️
I have always struggled with applying eyeshadow and what and how colors should be used and I’ve watched a million tutorials but your tutorial made more sense to me in the way that you explained the process so thank you❤
I loved the way you explained and showed the techniques, really appreciate it! Would love to see you show us blush and bronzer and lip application. Thanks again 😊
I just want to say your lighting is so good. It is so refreshing to watch. There is not a lot that’s going on the background. Such a positive and fresh vibe❤
Great video MandyLea, I think people forget how beautiful a simple eye look can be and how impactful it can be! I never understood the 7 or 8 eyeshadow shade look! Keep it simple!
THIS is FANTASTIC! Thank you so much Mandy!!!!❤
Mandy! This video really explains how to do eyeshadow. Thank you! More how to videos would help, if you don’t mind. Like tones/undertones, how to not get cakey looking face, etc. My 58 yr old face doesn’t apply as well your young looking eyes. Anyhow, thank you thank you for this video. You are absolutely beautiful, with or without makeup!
This video is amazing! So helpful, I struggle to put anything more than one shadow on my eyes do can't wait for the weekend when i can have a good test session. Loved that you showed how to put the theory in place with other palettes also, would love for you to do more of these videos xx
This is SO helpful! I have watched countless tutorials but you broke it down with explanations and it makes more sense than it ever has before. So, a million thanks!!!
Wow! I'm 65 and have been using this format for applying eyeshadow for at least 45 years. My technique is a bit different as I have hooded eyes. I still like to try new techniques even though I don't wear makeup as frequently as I used to as I work from home now. It feels good to get dressed up now and then.
I love how simple your eyeshadow application is! Thank you so much for this tutorial!
An actual makeup tutorial!!! Yaaaay! These are almost obsolete on KZread anymore. Much appreciated, Mandy!! ❤️ Edit: Did you mean you start with a mid tone MATTE?? I'm confused because you said mid tone shimmer for your crease, and I always see you using matte shades.

That's why she typed out "matte" in big letters in the center of the video. But yes, these are really hard to find now! Most tutorials are so old at this point.
Thanks, Mandy! Always love a good tutorial! Your eye looks are my favorite of all the content creators that I watch! I'd love to see more videos like this- especially how you would create looks with more large palettes.
So sorry to hear about your loss! I totally understand the giant empty space such a companion can leave you with. Many thoughts and support ❤
Aha! Since i subscribed a couple of months ago, i have wondered how you manage the difficult balance of deepening just enough to make the browbone recede without darkening too much the already shadowed socket in eyes like ours (our eyes are deep set in the same way). I could tell you have quite a disciplined technique unlike, um, me. Every time i do my eyeshadow, I say " Today, I will use restraint because my deep set eyes look their best with minimal shadows, just pencil eyeliner on the bottom lashline as i did for many years with success." We already have the dimension built in and don't get a lot of added benefit from adding more with shadow...sometimes the very opposite ! But my plan rarely works out that way. I want to revel in my eyeshadows and showcase the pigments, and that makes me add more than flatters my eyeshape. Plus, blending is a chore, and not a super easy one ! This video is very timely for me.
I really miss your 7 looks videos. I love your techniques
That was soooooo concise and the easiest tutorial I've seen on here! Thank you!!!
I love tutorial videos! Loved watching this one, Mandy! Wonderful content as always. ❤❤❤
New subscriber thank you I have been struggling I'm 51 years old to do eyeshadow your explanation is phenomenal going to try it today thank you
I’ve watched your videos for a few years now and love them all, but this one was excellent !!! Please do more of these. Thank you and your always so beautiful
This is what I call beautiful makeup. Well done, actual and it's not to much. Bravo!
Thank you so much, such elegant way and polished looks.
Thank you. Out of all the makeup videos, I like the way you apply eyeshadow the best.
Always love your content Mandy. Love the details on application. I’ve been watching eye shadow videos for years and I still am underwhelming at applying!
I agree with the others! You're fabulous at explaining how and why, all while keeping it simple! Terrific Mandy!
This has been by far my favorite eye shadow tutorial I’ve ever seen. TY! I saved & will watch again when I’m ready to do my eyes next time.
You have pick the right style of eye shadow for your eyes. Look gorgeous!
Gorgeous Mandy! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for making this so easy. Can't wait to try out you style out
You have saved my life!!! I have been buying multiple palettes and realized my brush situation. Love this and look forward to other videos. Amazing!
Very simple formula, looking forward to trying it tomorrow! Thank you!
Love this video! Cannot wait to try it!
This was REALLY helpful. Thank you.
I am starting to learn about make up. Thank you so much for breaking it down in easy to understand terms!
I really like the way you explain the technique! Now I have to go try it.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have struggled with eyeshadow placement for a while. I've watched several tutorials on YT, and there are some great ones, but I inevitably seem to go wrong somewhere and end up looking like a raccoon. I followed this for the first time and it looked great! You have got a sub from me for this alone and you deserve it
Love how detailed your are
Thank you for this tutorial, very helpful. Lovely looks.
This video was SO helpful - thank you so much!
Thank you, I love the shades you chose. I also like the idea of the eyeliner partially used on the outer corner of the eye. Going to attempt to see how that looks. I'm 65, I have been updating my eyeshadow application within the past few months in order to freshen up my new look.
Love the tutorial with different color pallets... makes it so much more simpler .... I just stumbled upon this and and am so glad thank you
This was great. Thank you so much. Really appreciate that you use brands that I have heard of that are in the drugstore. Makes it feel accessible and easy to recreate this look. ❤
Thank you, I saved this video in my “makeup tutorial” playlist. It has got essential principles (theory) of eyeshadows, which can be applied to all eyeshadow schemes.
I'm 42 and learning how to apply makeup for the first time! I've worn a little here and there but never was super confident that I know what I'm doing lol.. I decided I wanted to learn so I can teach my little girl when it's time. I was kind of a tom- boy lol. So I love your tutorials they really are so helpful!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge I really appreciate having the opportunity to finally learn from people who are confident in their abilities when it comes to applying makeup!! That's what makes wifi connectivity so invaluable and so is this platform for that matter, it really is such an amazing tool!! So I don't want to wear anything too much for daily wear.. anything more than simple is probably too much for me.. so my question is about eye makeup color. I wear a lot of Grey's and blacks and so would rather not wear browns and tans sometimes but im not sure what i should wear as a color combination to go with blacks and greys. Should i use white or a range of whites as a base? And I don't want anything as dark as black as the deep tone on the outer sides of my lids so a range of Grey's I guess? The thing is that I don't want to go too dark because it's harder to blend.. is what I understand- maybe once I'm more experienced lol! then what about the last color like a silvery sparkle maybe I'm not even sure how it goes I'd have to listen again- for the fourth time to know how many different colors I need lol im such a novice!! Lol I guess my point is that everyone seems to use tans and browns and so ive not seen many, if any examples with a color combination I would want to use on myself... what do you recommend?? Or does anyone else have any ideas Im so lost !! Thx so much!!
This is such an easy to follow tutorial. I feel like this look is approachable by all skill sets. I’m following it this morning while using my Urban Decay Naked Mini Palette. It has the perfect mix of mattes and a few shimmers. I love it! I cannot wait to play with more colors. I’m going to apply a half flash to spice it up since I have short lashes. Thank you! ❤
I have been waiting for exactly this!!! Thank you so much!
I love both looks ❤
The most helpful eyeshadow tutorial I've found, thank you
You put a name to the technique- most helpful!! Many thanks!
This was extremely helpful. Thank you so much. Love your channel!!
I'm so glad I found this video. I think it will help tremendously the next time I apply eyeshadow ❤
This was the absolute best tutorial I have seen. I am 70 and have some wrinkles so I am careful with shadow. This system worked perfectly for me today and got so many compliments!!! Because I’d wrinkles I did not use sparkling. Just used a light matte. Thanks so much
This technique has been a game changer for me! Amazing! Thank you Thank you!
Thank you so much your a good teacher of eyeshadow I have watched so many other channels on how to apply eye shadow and I just didn't get it now because I watched your video I won't be embarrassed by the way I was applying it thanks again I subscribed to your channel ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for explaining this so well. I am excited to try it with my new Nabla palette!
Awesome! Thank you! I'll be giving these tips a try!
This is super helpful. Exactly the type of tutorials I need!
Great job👍🏽 thank you for making it so so easy 🤩
I loved this tutorial! Thank youuuuuuuu!
❤great video. You get right to the point without unnecessary chatter ! First timer here and love this video !!!
I had to watch it 3 times to get it. I’m practicing but honestly I’m not even close. I’m inept. I know. But I sure enjoyed this video. Simple as can be yet your end results look so beautiful and much from a more complicated process so well done you!!! I’ll welcome more of these with different pallets. Maybe some blues for us brown eyes girls. Thank you so much ☺️

You’re gorgeous so anything you do looks great on you!
Thank you so much!!!! That helped me so much! Exposing the differences in color! You have no idea
You are so awesome! A great instructor!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am 65 with very dry eyelids. I barely have a lid showing. I have deep-set hooded eyes with tiniest amount of movable lid space. What is someone like me to do? I’ve been putting on a mid tone color above the crease and then just an all over medium shimmer but you can only see that if I close my eyes. To boot, I wear glasses! Help! I’d love to see a tutorial for people who wear glasses. Thanks in advance for your time! ❤

Can't find my comment. You place eyeshadow with eyes open, looking forward into mirror higher than normal crease. There are KZread tutorials for that too.
