Thank you so much. I don't know how many videos and websites I have been on and could not get this information. I am new to this and I appreciate your clear explanations.

There are so many products out there, bewildering in the store when choosing, now we know about these two.

Both methods would, as you said, leave stiffness that is difficult to sew through.. Why not use a few tiny dabs of fabric glue to hold appliqué down ( before sewing) ..?

I'm not a fan of the glue. I've tried it, but I just didn't like it.

I am really enjoying your Dresden tips! I've been intimidated to try them in the past but now I feel like I know what I'm doing! These applique and interfacing tips remind me of a tiny wall-hanging project in high school where my sewing teacher had us use a glue stick to attach the applique and then top stitch. Have you tried this method? I'm wary about using it for a full quilt, especially with washing, but it wouldn't leave a stiff part like interfacing and would save time compared to hand stitching, plus it's less expensive than interfacing. What do you think?

I don't know. I haven't heard of that method before. I've heard of people using regular glue though. :)

Thanks! Maybe I'll try it out, on a small project, not a quilt!
