And for what it’s worth the travelers we see in London Carting up Rotten row in Hyde park , they love their horses and they’re always very respectful too talk too and Friendly, so don’t believe all you see and hear .

I have to agree with rest of positive comments towards these lovely people they love love love there horses no disrespect to the haters but please try and get your facts right i love horses if i seen any act of cruelity i would act immediatly but i have witnessed zero at at two fairs i attended horse lover eire.

I was at the fair yes they are cleaned up by the gypsy community.

Yep, the Shera Rom (organiser Billy) has to agree to certain terms or the council won’t let it go ahead every year.

I kinda wish that I could be around a whole bunch of horses like that, I'd probably bring a big bag of carrots for them. Give them lots of scritches in places they can't reach. XD I saw lots of Gypsy Vanner's, Tennessee Walker's or Saddlebreds, a few ponies, one pretty white/grey mule near the start and some horses looked like they may've been 2 years old, which to me seems a little too young for an event like this one, imo. I hope you had fun, horses are beautiful creatures. Especially when they move together in a field. :D Also it was very nice that their were farriers there as well. :3 Then if your equine needed a good shoeing, or trimming you'd have people on staff to do that. ^u^ Btw, I saw a horse or two in there that looked lame, like the one at 1:47 looks lame and at 14:23. A lot of head bobbing and a little bit of limping with those two. I feel like if anybody was found to have a lame horse, they shouldn't be able to use that horse and just use a different one. At 8:00 I saw that poor mini horse. Kid is too big and doesn't know what he's doing. Sadly there were quite a few people who didn't know what they were doing with their horses. Plus, concrete at high speeds can really hurt a horses legs. And for the two horses that I mentioned who were most likely lame, those ones are going to have a harder recovery time since they were already in pain.

@@kimsutherland977 You do know that you can ship horses to different countries with special planes, right or even some ships? How do people around the globe get their horses to the Olympics otherwise or people who specifically go to buy a horse outside of their own country and getting it to their own house? And if what I thought wasn't what I thought, could you correct me on what breed of horses I saw if they weren't Saddlebreds, or Tennessee Walkers? If you can correct me, that would be nice. :3 Then I'd actually learn something about horses.

@@echotrash466 I am aware of that. I am presuming you are in the USA. There are virtually no TWH or saddlebreds here in the UK. We do not ride that breed of horse here and there are no competitions for gaited horses. We have standard bred trotters which you will see at a lot of travellers festivals, gatherings. Not sure I have seen a gaited horse at the Olympics either!!! Dressage, Eventing, Showjumping are the disciplines.... No gaited horses take part.

Horse fairs are not necessary in the age of eBay/KZread..

The majority of horse owners do not ill treat their animals. There are a few who misstreat their animals and they need to be called out. It starts at a young age, monkey sees monkey does. There are some who are just nasty and never change. They come from every walk of life it has no class, call them out, low life abusing defenceless animal's same with dog fighting, call it out. .🐎🐕🇮🇪 🍀

Come to Appleby fair , bring the kids and picnic on the banks of the river and watch hundreds of obese men chase each other with knives while dressed in the latest fashions from big brands such as Slazenger , donnay and Lonsdale. Revel in the toxic atmosphere and sample years of lovely Romany tradition.

Saw the trash left all over...event should be banned in future. Utterly disgusting the mess left behind. I would be ashamed to be a part of this event ...go look at pictures all of the mess they left behind agter this years event. Shocking...

Sounds like you’ve never seen what’s left behind after a music festival! The fair brings a lot of money into the village.

Some of these horses are skinny :( Not horribly skinny but I can still notice some.

I didn't see a single one that was unhealthily skinny. issue with most people now is that people believe any horse that isn't obese is underweight. horses aren't designed to carry fat its actually much healthier to be underweight than overweight for them. on that the perfect weight for a horse is that hips should have a covering of muscle and you should be able to lightly see the ribs when the horse bends away from you that's a vets ideal.
