Can you use it and get notifications form far away/2-5 hours form your IPhone 11 and Apple Watch SE with cellular data?

Just to let everyone know, you can set up the watch to just show time by using someone else’s iphone but if the watch looses power completely, the time will be wrong and you can’t correct it without pairing it to an iphone again.

Just a update.. I set my watch up by using my sons I phone, we took the sim out,unlocked the watch then put the sim back in the phone,my son then disabled all the notifications etc, so now I have my watch just as a watch! And I don’t have access to all his apps . Brilliant!

nope, if its reset, it goes back to set up. You need an iPhone to get this working

I like the watch myself but you have to buy an iphone to use the watch no thanks. They lost a buyer.

The fact that you can’t pair an Apple Watch with an iPad is pure greedy corporate bullsh-t. I can’t even use most of the features on my Apple Watch because I need an iPhone, but I have an iPad. And I’m not spending 2,000 f-king dollars on the latest iPhone just to use my apple watch, a watch that I could’ve been using with my iPad if Apple wasn’t such a greedy company filled with nothing but BS. If that’s their way of making people get the new iPhone 72 with 6 billion useless cameras on it, that’s nothing but pitiful and shameless, and I’m not buying into it. I’m sorry for the tantrum typing, but I just don’t get why I can’t pair it with my iPad. Especially since the iPad and the Apple Watch costed me a lot.
