Apple Watch Ultra Review: Cheaper, but Better Than my Rolex?
Ғылым және технология
I've never owned an Apple Watch before. So for my first smart watch, I had to go all out with the Ultra Watch to find out if the hype around this adventure watch can replace my current adventure Rolex Submariner. This is my review of the Apple Watch Ultra.

Thank you for taking the time to show us the case measurement and comparing it to other mechanical watches! That’s very helpful for those of us with smaller wrist sizes.
I was a watch collector, until I discovered the Apple Watch Stainless steel. I own Rolex’s, Brietlings, Omega’s, Panerai’s, etc and now they all stay on display in my home and have been there for years, one thing I’ve discovered since the Apple Watch, a expensive watch is just that, an expensive watch and has no other purpose but to tell time, and most people can’t tell if your wearing a $30.000 dollar watch or a $30.00 Knockoff, Apple watches do much more than that and the Ultra takes that to a new level as the guy stated in the video i only wear a watch from my collection if I’m going to some red carpet event, the Apple Watch Ultra is also my daily driver.

Yeah, sounds great....until it runs out of battery in 1-3 days then it’s completely useless. I would never go trekking in the wild with just a powered smart watch because, if something goes wrong, then you are done.

I love how you compare the AW Ultra with a traditional watch in technical measurement - it is something that no other youtuber has ever mentioned. Great job!
For those used to mechanical/ analogue watches, consider turning on the watch's always on feature. It will make the watch use and feel more like an actual watch, instead of a computer on a wrist. Yes you will lose a little battery life, but the tradeoff is worth it.

Much better to get a Tag Heuer, or Samsung, or MontBlanc smartwatch then. They at least look like a mechanical watch and have much better selection of watch faces. And they exist at multiple price points. Kind of like Seiko, Tissot, and Tag Heuer equivalents.

The Apple Watch can save your life in tons of ways, the Rolex? Not so much. Last year I lost sight of the shoreline while jet skiing in Cancun, I got confused and couldn’t find my way back. Boy I’m so glad I had the Apple Watch that day and not my submariner, Lmao.
I bet corner to corner diagonally is 49mm?! I’ve got an ultra and at first it felt massive but now it’s completely normal I wear mine 247 for 3 days and on the third day I have to charge it at night when I have a wash etc!! Amazing!

Swiss watches are just jewelry for guys at this point. Equally useless. Nobody needs moon phases on their watch. What we need is luxury smartwatches like the Apple watch Ultra, the MontBlanc, or the Tag Heuer. (just don't forget that the electronics need to be premium as well to match the premium price.)

To be frank, it looks monstrously big on your wrist. I'm looking for something closer to Rolex Yachtmaster / OP 36-esque kind of vibe that is petite sensuous looking case rather than anything that bulky.
I have a Rolex. I am also 60 yo. While I love my Rolex, I think I need the O2, ECG, heart rate etc functionalities of the Ultra. I'll be getting it. Thank you for a great presentation.

How is the speaker for phone and music?
What is the smallest wrist that it would look good on (for a women)?
Quality content as per usual 👌
Little late to the party but the reason why the Watch ultra is only rated to 40 meter dive is because the factory dive app is only calibrated for that depth because that covers 95% of divers, while the watch is actually rated for 100 meters it’s been tested at like 3 times that depth and still didn’t fail.
Great to see an in-depth review from someone who also loves mechanical watches! I've been tempted in the past to buy an Apple watch, but, none of them - neither the polished stainless steel/gold nor the Hermes edition, which are Apple's best-looking watches when paired with a leather band or metal bracelet - impress me as much as a mechanical watch if we're talking aesthetics or notions of 'elegance' and 'class'. However as much as a traditional mechanical watch such as a Rolex Submariner, or Omega Seamaster and the like, started out as arguable 'tool' watches, nowadays they are seen more as 'luxury' timepieces and items of jewelry. On its specifications, features, and build quality, the Apple Watch ultra is the first Apple Watch that seriously tempts me; its features - especially health and safety, - are undeniable advantages over any mechanical watch, and indeed one could make the claim that this is the everyday 'tool' watch for the 21st century. I prefer the look on the wrist to the Series 8, as it is similar in size to a man's mechanical watch than a Unisex series 8, and indeed many mechanical watches are of similar size on the wrist in terms of lug-to-lug distance. As everyday wear, I think it looks very attractive and with a metal band can even be dressed up a little, albeit not as much as the series 8 and not even close to a mechanical watch; the always-on screen is nice, but it is dimmed, not fully on, and is always a 2 dimensional projected watch face image on a screen, and not the 3 dimensions of an actual watch face. Thanks for a great review and especially the mechanical watch size comparison. :-)

Lies. It's HUGE.
that is almost the Hermes orange. And nobody associates that with prison. Maybe you wouldn’t either look at it as the Hermes orange. 😂 I person like the color and the aesthetics, just not the band style, as it is not easy to take on/off and it will scratch my laptop. I personally use the braided solo loop. Although mine now has become a bit loose, so I am using the default trail loop until I get a smaller braided one.
When we look at watches on our own wrist, large watches may look ok. But someone else observing your wrist with the apple watch will tell you it looks way too big. I have 43mm sea-dweller, but I am thinking of downgrading to a 41mm sub.

Do the hands light up at night?
I want the Apple Watch Ultra in black!
Yeah, but how would you do Apple Car Play without your phone? Mine has 5000 songs in my library.
Mechanical watches are just things to show off these days. The watch that's actually on my wrist daily is a smartwatch. It actually gives me information I need (Meeting alerts, reminders, remote control for spotify, fitness, phone calls) I don't need to see moon phases, or perpetual calendars. - they are just mathematical/engineering marvels. The best of both worlds would be smartwatch internals with swiss watch cases. Like a Tag Heuer connected. But my Samsung smartwatch has much better electronics than the Tag Heuer. Wish the two companies would just do a collab. Rather than the outdated 4100+ chipset and Wear OS2 in the Tag Heuer.
Anyone find the screen on the ultranot shiny?
What a presentation, I love it a great job, and I will definitely get one. Thanks.

love the looking and feeling of this ultra, but one thing I can't stand is. emm 1 day power? if this thing got 7 days power in low power mode, I will probably consider buying, if this got 30 days of power in low power mode, I'm happy to pay 3 times the price Personally I kinda hate anything that cost me extra effort especially for daily use I can leave my phone charge when im sleep or when im actually using it but not the watch. either took it off when sleeping, or have to thinking about charge take it off and put it on EVERY DAY is gonna to make me throw it to my kids as a toy 1 month after purchase 100%
