What is your wrist circumference?

I ended up with a trail loop because I purchased both an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and a Apple Watch Series 9, and I end up deciding that I’m going to keep the Apple Watch Series 9 and send back the Apple Watch Ultra 2. In the meantime, I got to know the trail loop. Having no experience with the sport loop, I can only say that the trail loop is very comfortable and I really like the loop that you pull on to adjust the length of the strap. I don’t know if the sport loop has a similar loop to pull on. I gather it doesn’t. My Apple Watch Series 9 is pink; that may be a reason I look at the sport loop to see if it has a color that is good with the pink. The trail loop I received with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is black. Black is a little harsh against the pink; it’s technically a neutral so I guess it works, but I would rather have something different in a color for the pink.

I chose the Trail loop with my Ultra couple of weeks ago. Comfort matters as I wear it 24x7. Today I just noticed MKBHD wears the exact same.. 'nuff said :)

Sold the trail loop I got with my ultra and bought more sport loops. I prefer them in every way.

This video is what we need. The trail loop is a premium version of sport loop. The wider band makes it more stable. For regular apple watch, I believe the sport loop is just fine.

@@Tech4Baba I believe the trail loop is the best. I’m currently wearing the midnight ocean band. The quality of Apple bands are superb. The only bad part of the bands is the price 🤣

I think the sport loop is just fine, period. I also catch the trail loop thing a lot working on things though so that’s why I switched.

Apple never states in any literature that the connectors on the trail loop are titanium. For example in the ocean band description apple specifically says the hardware is titanium. That would lead me to believe it’s just metal titanium colored connectors and not actual titanium. If I’m wrong please correct me.

probably not worth the extra money, but a good upgrade if you don't care about the cost. That's my assessment

@@Tech4Baba haha great recommendation however I really hated how the Watch strap dangles out and needs to be secured I think they perfected it with the sport style bands since I can tuck in the excess band naturally into itself as that is how the design works Thanks again friend d

watch out for Amazon third party brands or any aftermarket bands designed for Apple Watch. I have trouble putting them on AW Ultra. It seeems like Ultra is just a tiny bit narrower compare to regular Apple watches. Somehow original Apple brand bands fit in Ultra just fine, but all my third party bands from 44, 42mm older Apple watches having hard time fitting in Ultra.

Will the trail loop work with a standard stainless steel 38/41 mm Apple Watch? Or, do I have to have an Ultra to purchase a trail loop?

Excellent review. I find the Sport loop to look and feal cheap and uncomfortable. I haven't had the chance to get my hands on Trail Loop. It looks super nice.

IMO the color makes and breaks these bands in terms of looks. A lot of the sport loop colors have been pretty tacky looking, through this year's offerings are pretty good. Hard to go wrong with solid colors.

I completely agree; I recently acquired this year's Apple Watch with the Midnight Sport Loop, and I must say, it looks incredibly stylish now.

The Trail Loop is the best now 99 is ludicrous. Apple has made the choice so easy between buying the original vs 3rd party on this.

@@Tech4Baba I’m using a good quality replica of the alpine loop in orange, very similar with metal connectors. I have that one in black, green and gray. I also have the original trail loop that came with the watch in the blue/gray color way

I‘m baffled how you can say that the connectors are 100% the same. It‘s just not true. Any 49mm band is too wide for any non-ultra apple watch and sticks out slightly on both sides. Sure, it might not bother you if the connector does not sit flush with the body but I can‘t stand it and it‘s a rather important info for potential buyers. You can use all 42/44/45mm bands on the ultra both not the other way around. Unless you don‘t mind the connector sticking out on the side due to being too wide.

What are you talking about?? You are just plain, flat out wrong. I am currently wearing a 45mm Apple Watch Series 9 with a 49 mm Trail Loop that came with my Apple Watch Ultra 2. The ends fit perfectly with my 45 mm watch. Maybe you were talking about the 41 mm watch and I can’t speak to that one, but it fits great on my 45 mm watch. I just looked at it under a magnifying glass and it literally fits perfectly, there is nothing sticking out anywhere.

what do you have to show about your fingers? why show your fingers dancing around so much?
