Becoming carbon neutral by not providing chargers in the box ; charge extra 20$ and it comes with an extra packaging (eventually producing more waste) ? "But everyone already has chargers !" Yea, but not the ones apple provides cables for. Only people who own iphone 11 or later has that charger. Apple's policies just sucks.

No power adaptor is just plain stupid when the cable they give doesn't fit the previous version of adaptors that people have been using. This means that the customer still HAS to buy the adaptor and it means another box and another cost to the customer. Apple wants to portray itself as "environmental" yet it goes in the opposite direction.

In the lasr part you told us not to complain about the adapter-less boxes. But won't you need a new adapter for every phone upgrade? We'll have to buy adapters from 3rd party companies, which many is far from being carbon neutral. Even if the adapters were totally same, even by the emissons, shipping a seperate package for adapters uses more space than being in the phone box. (I saw this on youtubr. It was probably from the channels whoistheboss or Apple Explained.)

if i have multiple phones, whether it's android or apple, i honestly would just use the same adapter and cable for all of my phones, i just buy a new adapter if it breaks then the cables that are included in every boxes will just be the back-ups when the first cable broke or cut in half. it can also save you money and electricity by not charging all of them at the same time.

Way I see it is its just lip service, they are against right to repair and are making me go out and buy a separate usb-c charging port for my wall because usb-a was too much to ask I guess... I wonder if that extra buying step still equates to less foot print or not. On top of that there phones themselves are not usb-c ports which means I can't use any none apple phones charger possibly increasing my "footprint" yet again if i go between multiple places

All of Apple's modern laptops have their SSD soldered in. SSDs are usually the first thing that wears out in a computer. In most other brands you can just replace them but not with Apple laptops. This makes their laptops disposable and end up faster in a landfill. This "we care for the environment" stance is pure marketing.

Not including the charger doesn't mean that the need of charger is not their. If we order a brand new charger the plastic required in packing that charger will be way more than including charger in the box. Lifetime of charger is way less than the device so customer will technically mostly end up buying a third party charger which will result in more plastic and cardboard waste in the environment.

This is nonsense . Almost all of Apple's devices are hard to repair. In fact, if you bring a out of warranty Apple device to be fixed in an Apple store, repair is extremely expensive and they ask you to buy the new model instead. This encourages people to simply throw out their Apple products which ends up in landfills. Not buying what Apple's selling.
