🙋‍♀️ | My name is Apple, and I moved to New York state a few years ago. I live with my grandmother. When we first came to the United States, we faced some language barriers, and because we weren't very attractive, we didn't have any dates. We were often teased at school because of our appearance.

    If the husband sleeps in one room and the wife sleeps in another room that would explain why you don't get pregnant.

    These stories are always his/her rooms. It's so weird. Not to mention apartments are called "a room". Maybe the foreign country these stories are coming from don't translate into English very well.

    My husband and I sleep in separate rooms. I am a tosser/turner and he's a major snorer which has been remedied with a cpap machine - but the noise of the machine makes it difficult for me to sleep. So in order to have a happy marriage, we have separate rooms. We've been happily married for 35 years. It isn't always a "red flag" or "unhappy marriage". In some households, having separate beds or separate rooms is what makes both members of a couple to be happy and well rested. (Believe me, the 2-3 hours a night sleep I was getting before moving to the second bedroom did not make me a "happy wife" and did almost lead to divorce because I was miserable and extremely tired. Not just that but we have "happy fun times" more often because we're both getting proper sleep. It becomes "Your room or mine? wink wink nudge nudge know what I mean know what I mean say no more?")

    You don't sign a prenup after getting married.. a prenup has to be signed way BEFORE the marrigae. A post nup is what you sign AFTER marriage... people usually do a post nup after coming into a large sum of money or one partner has cheated. A post nup is very much like a prenup except it's done after marriage. Hence the name "post nuptial"

    I have heard of many celebs having a prenups however the other spouse still fights for this or that. So it almost seems like not all prenups stand up fully which is weird to me. In listening, ok I already don’t like this spouse. The sister could simply stay in the guest room and the op spouse is a jerk. May sound severe, but as soon as he mentioned a hotel and then everything he said, I might have called it quits right there and then. She doesn't need to bother with this crap. Whoa how did she divorce?

And one WHISPER of that old bat joining us on our honeymoon, and she would find herself CHAINED to her BROOM at HOME! The witch. And going on ALL of his vacations?! That woman is nuts and needs to be locked up. And why doesn't the SON tell the mother to go away?! Why is it up to the DIL? If he's THAT afraid to tell his MOMMY off, he's not really worth having as a husband, is he?

    The writers need to acknowledge that fathers have rights also. It is extremely difficult to keep a child away from its biological parent unless there is a very serious reason. The non-custodial parent can go to the court and sue for visitation at the very least, or shared custody. The custodial parent would have to prove that it would be detrimental or dangerous for the child in order to preclude the other parent from any form of contact with the child.

  • @norarivkis2513

    @norarivkis2513

    In general, these stories are very prone to oversimplifying everything, and one of the ways they do that is to make sole custody without visitation into a common thing, even though in reality it's very rare. But they don't give the right solely to mothers... many fathers in these stories gain sole custody of their children just as easily as the mothers do. Especially when their wives cheat on them... which is usually not even considered a factor in custody decisions, since it doesn't necessarily directly affect the child.

    At the very end, I felt a very tiny amount of sympathy for the MIL. She had always gotten her way- and when she realized she had lost everyone, the way she said “I really don’t like being alone”- she sounded scared, and genuine. This is one story where the MIL seems to be trying very hard to change. Of course, if it’s only for herself (she doesn’t want to be alone), then she not changing for the right reasons. Never mind, no sympathy, she’s an incredibly selfish, self-absorbed, infuriating woman. Sigh. Just when I thought one of these stories might have a glimmer of hope… 😂

    Why isn’t Michelle at her sister in law’s wedding reception with Alexander? Ah, so that’s why. Two months later: Ooo! Scandalous! Anya was pregnant at her wedding! I hope Anya wasn’t drinking at the reception! Why do all these married couples live with their parents? Alexander probably shouldn’t drink! Sounds like he has a problem. A few months later: Anya and her husband are moving in? What? Alexander tells Michelle to clean out HER room. Don’t Alexander and Michelle share a bedroom? They’re basically newlyweds too! Why do they have separate bedrooms? Ridiculous. Why are they even married and why did Michelle marry that dope in the first place? No wonder they don’t have kids! Nonsense. Divorce!
