My view on the magsafe wallet is that you're supposed to use it as a seperate unit like you would with any other wallet and in case you need to put your stuff somewhere and not to lose it, you attach it to the phone with the magsafe magnet so it remains together with your phone.

my grandpa has a case for his 11 with a built in wallet, it doesn't detach so depending on what youre lookin for that might turn you away from it

I like that it comes off easily. I'd treat them separately as tools, that have a nice way to keep them together

I think the the wallet is designed as a extra convenience. Not necessarily made to replace a wallet/case combo(because you’re not carrying one less thing, it’s still two items...just temporarily attached to each other). But for people like me who lose their wallets as soon as it leaves my pocket. I usually wrap a rubber band around both and put them on my night stand. Now I just need a case with a loop so I can attach my keys are stop losing those too lol

He's a snippet on what "genuine" leather really is: "Genuine leather doesn't just mean that the product is made of real leather (which it is), but it also means it is the lowest quality of all products made out of real leather. Goods marked as genuine leather will be several layers of low quality leather bonded together with glue and then painted to look like a better-quality leather. It's what is left over when the other, higher grades are stripped away."

@@aymankarroum4032 I don't. But to be quite honest, the Apple cases I've owned have been amazingly good and resilient to stress. Maybe genuine leather (with its glue bonding) is better than the higher grades of leather when it comes to the daily wear and tear of a phone case.

The 2 leather items once together for a little time actually sort of stick to each other enhancing the grip of the wallet. I enjoy using mine for my license, carry permit, and one card. It works well for me.

Had one for over a year now it find it really convenient. I also have a leather case so after a while the wallet kind of indents itself into the case making it harder to get off. Never had it accidentally come off, but when I do take it off, it notifies you almost instantly.

I was shopping for the leather case because I received a leather wallet for my iPhone 12 pro for Christmas. I didn’t know if the wallet would attach to the phone with the case on, but I’m glad to find out that it does! I ended up purchasing the leather case thanks to this video!

I have had this product a year now. And let me tell you it is the best thing Apple has done in a long time. I don’t even notice it’s on anymore. It’s so convenient and I never lose cards now. Trust me when I say going forward I would pay anything for this set up

I have the 12 mini and use the mag safe wallet. I have no complaints at all! The wallet does not come off and it takes some effort to take it off. Maybe it’s because the phone is smaller 🤷🏾‍♀️

Hello! I was considering getting one of the apple cases for the iPhone 12. Although, I am wondering how protective the cases are. May you please consider making a video about that? If you don't want to make a video on that I totally understand. I really think that it will help individuals like myself as well. Keep up the amazing videos!

One really useful implementation for this would be access cards for buildings/secure premises where you would wanna keep it handy without necessarily having all your other stuff with you? And even if its lost not a big deal?

The question is: is the MagSafe safe for your cards if they have the old magnetic strip? Is it safe to place next to your laptop for that matter?

I like the wallet just by itself. A square magnetic arrangement might have made it spin less when it's attached though.

I’m using the wallet on my iPhone 12 with the leather case and I haven’t had a problem. Yes it an adjustment but ones you adjust it’s a nice thing to have.

I used this wallet for 6 months now. Here’s my review: 3/10 stars Pros: the wallet has a minimalistic design and feels very sturdy, after 6 months of use it looks brand new. It’s made with high quality, and will never fall off the phone. It surprised me how strong the magnets were. Also it will always tell you it’s last location where you removed it from your phone. It never shows the exact location, more like a 100 foot radius at an address. Cons: it only hold 3 cards and they squeeze in there pretty tight so sometimes they get stuck. Also you can only slide 1 card out from the back, so sometimes you have to slide 3 cards out just to get to one, very annoying. Overall the wallet itself is mediocre and shouldn’t be worth more than $20.

I’ve used Apple’s brown leather case on my last two iPhones and it’s exceeded expectations. Drops bumps and all that, no problem. It makes getting a new phone less enticing because you have to start that patina all over again.

I feel like the MagSafe Wallet is an overpriced way to lose your cards

I think Peter McKinnon had a great opinion on the wallet. Worth watching his review as well.

Curious if an apple magsafe case is required for it be fully fictional. Or is a slim 3rd party case ok to use? (using caseology dual grip case, iphone 12 mini)

Need you to review the MOUS case and compare their Wallet with this one!

Too big? WTH! They are tight af. I hate tight jeans, especially skinny jeans. Worst clothes and fashion trend EVER. Leave it for the teenage girls.

I’m sure a software update would fix the panic of losing the Wallet. When attached you get a notification so why not when it’s removed. Even a notification to a peripheral device like an Apple Watch so you don’t mistake it for a text message. Maybe a custom sound with the ringer to let you know the wallet and case have separated

Jokes on you I put my cards and cash inside the case.

I find it interesting that no one is talking about the possibility of carrying in separate pockets and attaching when both are out of the pocket. No chance of losing/leaving either when they’re in your pockets, but those chances increase when they’re out. I’d be inclined to front pocket carry the phone and back pocket carry the wallet and bring them together when they come out.

If apple can notify when the MagSafe accessories are put on it should be able to know when it is taken off or falls off. They should allow for an automatic geotag so you can see where you lost it?
