Swiping to the left for widgets and to right for camera on the lock screen is *exactly the same* as how Android 4.3 or 4.4 lock screen worked a few years ago. So, this is from the same company who sued others for billions of dollars for using slide to unlock, right?

My point was that if you yourself are copying many ideas from others, you should not sue others for copying a few subtle ideas of yours. Wasn't that obvious? I did not know I had to tell this not to be mistaken, but neither Android nor iOS satisfies me. So, no. I am not a fan boy of either side. That is why I use them both, and am waiting to upgrade my iPad Pro to iOS 10 tomorrow. I just hate Apple suing others for miscellaneous software ideas.

I'm about 3 minutes in and not sure if it is mentioned but you do not have to press the button to unlock. You can change it in settings to unlock the normal way with just TouchID

Vitaly C Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button (its quite far down) > Rest Finger to Open. I'm also pretty sure if you drag down in settings and search for Home Button you should find it as well

No you can change it to rest finger to unlock so you don't need to press the home button

Yeah. you can just use your fingerprint and it will unlock just like iOS9

It's a lot more inconvenient than iOS 9. I turned off having to click the home button but it still forces me to click the home button maybe 50% of the time. It's also a lot slower in recognising your fingerprint.

This was a really fantastic overview video. Still lots of features not in here but this covers a great deal of it. Great job!

Calm down. It's a nice feature for usability. Yes, Apple isn't as good when Steve was alive, but you don't have to bash. I don't understand why everyone fights over what's better. They're all good

Usability? Only if you own a 6S or above. What about the rest of us? I don't see how a simple feature cannot be implemented. It's not bashing or fighting or Apple doesn't know a thing called double tap to wake exists but it's about simple things that make a huge difference.

This update is mostly made for newer devices. Even when Steve was alive he did things like this. Updates and new features were mostly pointed for newer devices. You can't deny that. At least you even get the update. Some companies don't even update older devices

Andrew Exactly. I am not counting this as a iOS 10 feature per se since it excludes every other iphone even the iphone 6. Heck the older iPhone 5 has the necessary display tech to handle the notifications issue. It's just that Apple doesn't want to.

Its because the M9 and M10 Motioncoreprocessors are always on, so they can recognize it. The M8 and M7 would take too much Battery if they were always on, so its not available for 6 and 5s. And the 5 and the 5c dont even have a M processor

they arent doing this for no reason, if you would be able to update to ios10 you would also most likely have to cope with a major ncrease in laggs. It was about time to give the iPad 2 no access to the new ios versions for example, it already could barely handle ios9

ios 10 gm is also the final release as well and ios 10 does not brick your device, and for raise to wake to work you go to settings display and the raise to wake option is there, I hope this helps everyone out

Favorite IOS 10 feature is the notification bullets. I think they look good. I love the way they open a bit larger for more information to be viewed. So far no issues with the updates. Great video as always DB.
