Very fair judge! Master! I must recognize that I was into the same problem with my cousin's MacBook AIR 13 inch laptop. And I had to tell him that, everytime he goes to the repair center, they will reball the graphic chip, and after 6 months he will come back with the same problem. Because in Romania services works so poor! I must recognize that I had learned from you a lot since 3 months to present when I had watched your learning videos. They deserved to be recorded and placed onto a solid HDD! RESPECT AND SINCERITY!

Thanks for the tips. I got an 27 inch 2010 Imac that constantly tries to boot but I get only a black screen nothing more I tried this but unfortunately it did not work.

I was wondering if you've ever had an Imac that will re-start several times when booting up for the first time after being off overnight. My 27" mid 2011 is doing that and getting worse; up to 5 or 6 times before staying on. Would really appreciate your advise on this. It has had a new graphics chip put in about a year ago. Thanks

Louis Rossman does a repair on Macbook Pro for graphics issue by changing a capacitor in line with the graphics chip. I wonder if this has a similar issue that can be fixed by replacing the C9560? He offers a larger capacitor than the small Tantulum chip. Thanks for all of your helpful videos Sorin.

Thank you very much for your reply Pierre. Maybe you can help me figure out why my 27" Mid 2011 iMac does random reboots. I ran the ASD for my model that reported a slow mechanical drive. Replaced with SSD, put new ram cleared the heat syncs of any dust, checked the power cord and bypassed the surge protector but none of this makes any difference. This unit has had the GPU replaced by an authorized Apple repair center about a year ago but there aren't any video/graphic issues that seem to be related to the restarts; display has no artifacts at all. Any help would be much appreciated.

I too invested in reballing machine from Honton, waste of time and money. Plus you have to spend time learing about profiles for different times of year. I now use the hot air plus the Kolofonium recommended by your goodself. Once again good video will help fellow techs to avoid this waste of resources.

Hello Sir, First of all thank you very much for your valuable Videos . I have a problem with my iMac 27” 2009 A1312 , the problem is very weird, everything works good specially the lcd but at low brightness level, and when i increase the brightness the lcd goes immediately off but the picture still there an i can see it when i use external monitor or put the flashlight from my phone directly on the screen. This problem happened after i have disassembled the lcd assembly to fix the flickering backlight due to bad connector soldering, the flicker is completely gone but the new problem appeared with high brightness level. Could you please advise me what further inspections can i do more , i checked the inverter board, the power-supply , the graphic card .... Many thanks in Advanced Elias

I can except laptop gpu's having solder ball problems as they have barely enough heatsinking/cooling. But that apple gpu has a massive heat pipe/heatsink, the gpu should be very happy.
