Unpopular opinion: I think this whole controversy was completely overblown and even unnecessary. Let's take movies for example. The filmmakers destroy objects for entertainment all the time in movies, but they don't get hate for that. Unpopular opinion on your comment: your comment is not Unpopular. Apple is the world's largest brand with the biggest follow base, even bigger than our Supreme leaders fan base. So even small lot of unhappy people gets popular and then Apple haters chime in too, creating a scene. Even I did not enjoy the ad, infact I never enjoy any of apple's ads. They show their phones are unbreakable and then blame others when the phones break.

when I first saw this live, I felt quite uneasy but still got the point that they’re trying to say that ipad pro is the best product to do all kind of creative works like painting editing etc. but majority people got over sensitive about this… what they should have criticised apple is for the elevated price for the ipad pro… like seriously its base model cost around 1lakh and that so without the pencil…. I personally own the ipad pro m1 and it costed me around 70k and after just 3 yrs its price is 100k 🤯🤯 yes there are a lot of improvements in this ipad pro but Don’t really think everyone needed that in the first place… I’m waiting for the reviews and also the strain test by jerry

I am a pianist, and electronic music producer. People hate that computers make music, but in my opinion real instruments cannot be replaced by digital and digital instruments have their separate place. Now, the hate this ad got is justified, people see it as technology killing and destroying art, music and creativity which in 2024 is a really bad time to show (with AI allegedly killing and taking away creativity). But it should not have been such a huge deal. Like it is really common and we have seen it so many times that music artists smash their guitars on stage or painters throwing paint on their artwork something like that. Also, this point is also valid that digital vs real, real art is much more difficult than the digital one and also requires way more skill and determination to master. You can become an electronic music artist in 2years, it takes more than a decade to learn and play a piano properly. Similarly painting on a canvas and iPad is different, there is no undo in canvas painting, you cannot have mistakes. You can get an iPad and a pencil and become a good digital artist within a year, but painting takes years to practice, we all have done painting in out childhood, how many of us are painter? So the hate is not towards to crushing, it is towards the fact that our iPads can do what you do, basically insulting their skills.

There is a reason why this ad is getting hate. They are making a point that You can crush Piano, Painting Canvas, all kind of arts into iPad, and iPads have actually crushed so many form of artists. You don’t need a piano now you can make music and auto tune on your computer. You don’t need to be a painter, IPads make it easy. But however, Apple shouldn’t encourage that you should reject and crush your traditional art forms and use iPads in stead. In stead one should promote traditional art forms, so that artists can keep making original work in their creative way.
