I make this pie yesterday, it was my 2nd time to make an apple pie, and yes I use apple juice, and it turns perfect, sooooo yummy!!!!!! tried it Friday, did the same recipe except for the crust (i got my own), so perfect and the next day even better really different when it sits 24 H. the cooking time for me 37 mn ( thankfully i checked). Big thanks for this and all your precise and exhaustive explanations and for the conversion of the us measurements.

Good evening Joy, love your receipt for apple pie especially how you make the sauce and pour on top of apples. My late mom used to cook the apples in the sauce and than add brandy or a bit rum and raisins. My problem is the pie crust. I still have not perfected it. It usually crumbles when ready to roll? I use exactly the same measurements and ingredients for flaky pie dough. No flaky but rather tough. I don’t have a food processor but everything else I do. I watched my mom do it and still a failure. I can make the best bread by hand and no machine and yet a simple pie crust I fail at it. I’ve seen recipes with oil and no butter or shortening. Oil looks easy but don’t know if it has flakiness or good taste. You are the best little lady. ❤️

Yes, Stephanie doesn't talk frivolously and gives out just the right amount of information. She's a great instructor. And this is why I always look to her channel first whenever I want to learn something about baking that I didn't know.

I also used the recipe...but I used potatoes and slices of cured ham...and I left out the crumble...it was amazicles.
