Nice review, i've been using mine and really happy with it during the day. But the big problem I cannot seem to get around is when using Google Maps at night. Even when i have turned the brightness all the way down and setting Google Maps to night mode maps, the screen is still too bright and off-putting, to the point it destroys my night vision and eyes can't adjust to the road at night as the screen is so bright and lighting me up. Have you found a way to dim the screen more or enable a night mode on the device settings? Thanks

Hi mate. Cheers 👍.. I think thats the units only downside with not having auto brightness, or to follow night view same as phone. I dont ride much at night so probably same for most as it wont be an issue, but I dont see a way round it. Ironically Ive just been sent another unit with cameras and auto dim function from a different supplier, so be interested in seeing how that goes in comparison 👍

Hi there great review I seen your review on Sunday and had bought the unit on Saturday so couldn’t use you code unfortunately. Can I ask as I missed in your set up although watched quite a few times. I want to set up the way you have. When you switch to BT trans do u connect your phone to unit and headset to phone?And do I need to disconnect the car play via Bluetooth first? Thanks

Hi Martin. Thanks for watching 👍. Ok. First you pair phone to unit. Disconnect phone to headset. Pair unit to headset via wireless set up. At first it doesnt make sense. Until you try via both on bluetooth and lose comms with unit. By switching it to wireless after your bluetooth connection is paired with phone to unit must free up channel. Either way. It works for me. Just try your headset comms and map directions in both modes. You will know when they all work and it starts to make sense. To be fair. It took me 45min of playing about to get it right. Cheers 👍

Thanks I’ll try that I can get my voice to active calls and music etc but when I call someone the connection they say is really bad and distorted although I hear them fine. I’ll give it another go in a while the way you say. Thanks for reply

Hopefully you get it right. A few have had that fault. Just make sure you are not connected phone to headset while connecting unit to headset on wireless first 👍​@@martincolton8166

Why did you choose this one over the Chigee unit? I am looking to install on my panam so checking options.

Ive not seen the other type so cant really compare. This was sent to me to review and test, but any faults would have been noted, genuinely impressed although I think some units have other options 👍. Go with what suits you best
