I love how you're so transparent and honest. Oh, and vulnerable. That knob looked a little scary because I'm afraid of heights. Glad you didn't run into the bear. Love you sunshine, love you captain, Nan

Omgosh what perfect music for making it to MacAfee Knob, it was giving me all the feels and had me tearing. So beautiful. I’m glad your heel started feeling better there. Happy hiking, hike on!❤

I just wanted to crawl through the t.v. And give you a big hug. Black bears typically are not aggressive. Stay the distance and you should be okay. Grizzlies are a whole different story. You are showing the real on trail….keep it up it is so inspiring. If you need to take a rest to heal, that is also the real. The trail.

I'm so sorry about your foot/Achilles pain, Sunshine! It's not fun to have to walk with foot pain. I know. Kudos to you for having empathetic folks around you and figuring out that perhaps it was your compression socks. I hope it heals fast so you can continue your (and Captain's) EPIC adventure! :) T.

I have issues with my Achilles’ tendon(I have a lump on it now), it seems to go hand in hand with my autoimmune issues. I’m also working right now as a letter carrier so I had to find a way to manage it so I use these little cup type inserts that take the pressure off my tendon and gives it a chance to heal for a few days/weeks depending, then take them out when I feel enough relief, I’ll post a picture of them

What shoes are you currently wearing? I wore altras but wore superfeet "trailblazer" inserts. Zero drop can hurt the achilles. The trail blazer inserts have a little little lift, they also have a gell spot under your heal.

Did you switch shoes? I’ve heard other hikers in the past mention Achilles issues with the zero drop Altras. Just food for thought. Did you have this issue with the Hokas? I hope it gets better for you. I really enjoy your channel.
