Thanks...the bidet attachment is a neat device...but I will NOT be wiping my ass with my bare hand. I'd have Largo check himself for ticks or suspicious looking bite sites. Regarding the Ticks and Lyme risk...Permethrin is your friend. I regularly treat my hiking clothes with Sawyer Permethrin and am rarely bothered by ticks in the backcountry. You can also treat your hiking shoes and backpack. gaiters, etc. Sprayed on EXTERNAL clothing and material surfaces only...not on internal clothing surfaces that wear next to the body. The treatment is good for up to 6 clothes washes or 6 weeks of time...then need to retreat. I prefer the pump spray to the aerosol can.

You probably haven’t had time to watch Chica & Sunsets videos on the PCT but poor Chica was holding on to a tree when she went to potty & it broke because it was dead. She fell into a cactus so Sunset had to pick thorns out of her butt. Somebody said it was a good thing she already had a trail name or else she would be known as Thorn Butt. 😆

If I need a slow day or a rest day from not feeling well, I'd never consider that a "worst" -- sometimes if that leaves me in a not so great place to sleep, bearing in mind that for me that will likely be in or near a village and not out in the Wilderness, that can be bad, but stopping from needing to stop is a good thing, not a bad one.

As far as protein is concerned, you really should have included mentions of jerky, cheese, and sausage etc when you can find it. The Kind protein bar -- kind is German for child, so I guess it's a mini one for children.
