It was raining when we came down from Moosilauke after winds at the summit that tried to take our raincoats off. I didn’t know how great the views were until now. And the trail down was so rugged, there were places I had to sit on the rocks and jump and use my arms to push out far enough so my pack wouldn’t catch to get down to the next point. By the time we got to the bottom, my legs were shaking and I was bawling from the strain of jumping onto wet slippery rocks.

Congratulations on the 1800 milestone! And what a beautiful part of the trail, whether above or below the treeline or even on road walks.

If I'm fortunate enough to get that far, I think that's going to be my favorite section.

Good video with lots of good beautiful views, nice beautiful water fall, some bad rocky hiking, so let's keep on hiking 😊

Last august we had to take an alternate trail up to lonesome lake hut because the river crossing with the AT was too sketchy… loved the little loop trail around the lake!

correct me if I'm wrong, but Moosilauke decent is the hardest (up to that point) on the AT. I would argue it could be the hardest. When I did it there has been rain the previous day, so all the rocks had that humidity on them. I don't know why it took me 1800 miles to figure it out, but Moosilauke made me realize that decent can be much harder than assent. Good luck!

Waking up now about the time your video posts. That’s my alarm along with sunrise coming through the blinds. I really like the view when you get above the tree line on I guess it’s called a bald. The water slide did look like fun to ride but in the end rocks are rough on the skin. Very nice picturesque walk.😀🥾

Good morning Andrew! Great place for an extreme workout and stress test all in one. 😅 But the views and waterfalls are a blessing. Happy Trails! 😊 Be careful, stay safe and enjoy your Hike. 🚶 🏕 🍳 🔥🎄 😊🙏

I love your journey. I keep subscribing and unsubscribing, I just don't know what your vision is for this trail. I know that you are killing it and fun to watch. I suppose i get caught up in the continuous footsteps towards the triple crown. It seems to ne that you have worked so hard for that after reading your blogs, etc and seeing what you have done so far but maybe it's just not a a concern for you. Either way, i enjoy your journey a great deal! It's Your Hike and you have have to ignore hike geeks like me.
