So, reminds me of daddy and mommy who went home to Jesus at ages 91 and 88. Our kinfolk hails from eastern Kentucky. Grandpa could make the fiddle and banjo dance! ❤️😊
Lord, thank You for allowing my ears to hear such beautiful music..

Born & raised in LA in the 50's....but my mom was from Sterns, KY. This music is in my soul. (As are the bagpipes.) She hated country music....reminded her of being poor, but NOT me....I love it. Especially bluegrass.❤
You can’t not smile while a banjo is playing. 😊 The happiest instrument in the world.
In the Smokys everything is either up or down. Flat is reserved for the hearthstone. Been there chasing a girl. Caught her, I think, maybe the other way around mid last century. A mountain girl is something to be treasured. She could do anything she set her mind to: design, author, write, mother, lover. It was like the Lord had designed and hidden the perfect girl. Her businesses flourished. 60 years was not enough living with her. I wanted everything. But she passed. I had to lay her to her rest up high in the Smokys whence she came. It was like a gift with a time limit. Lord, please let me see her again.

Who cares if it is played on a flugelhorn in k flat minor, it's beautiful uplifting music!
This hits the spot!
We are at our "SOUTHERN HOME" right now! And have a Yankee home as well! Frankly I prefer the Home here more then up north! As a pilot, I have flown many times alone the east coast, And the smoky Mountains, Are beautiful from any angle? Above or at ground level! This type music says it all! Give me Bluegrass all the time! This is the music of our Grandfathers and their Forefathers!
A Lot of pictures on here looks like where I am from. Was most taken down in Shannon County (Eminence Mo) My dad grew up down the holler from Alley Springs Mill. I knew the wild horses were from there and there were some Alley pictures. Loved watching the video this rainy Sunday morning. Love being so far away and having my home playground playing in my home with some great bluegrass music. ❤️🇺🇲❤️🇺🇲
Great mix! I would love to see the playlist posted :)
I'm here in Reno amd i know bluegrass people like Rich Sparks and Rick Rheinhardt but we just have such a hard time finding bluegrass drummers. They seem to be such a rare breed. Maybe they all went to Kentucky or Arkansas.
Thanks for adding VAL YOU to vista's of grace
