You and Bluegrass are making great progress! I hiked from Falls Village to Rand's view and back last year as a dayhike. The powerplant you saw is indeed a hydro plant with a feeder canal that diverts water from the top of the Great Falls of the Housatonic. I was lucky last September as they were removing flood debris from that canal and sending ALL the water over the falls. I believe this is probably the largest falls by volume on the AT. When you and Bluegrass are in the Whites, 80 foot high Thoreau Falls is just a couple tenths of a mile from the AT near mile1846.5. I dayhiked back there in June and many of the thru hikers I met didn't know it was there and had passed it by. A beautiful spot to lunch or cool off. Also the AT is handicap accessible to Thundering Falls near mile 1713 in Vermont. I haven't seen those falls myself yet. Dad (93 years young) is enjoying every minute of your videos so please accept our thanks for your hard work producing them! Snakes, ticks, and poison ivy become much less common past Mount Greylock. Happy Trails

Congrats on 1,500 miles. Connecticut looks absolutely beautiful. I had a thought as I saw you sit on the bench today. It would be nice to have a feature called “Bench Thoughts With Chuck” in which you share some random thoughts or introspection as you sit on the bench. Just an idea I had. Not sure if it’s something you’d like to do or not but definitely something we’d like to see. Anyway, thanks for taking us along with you on your journey. Happy trails.

Not 100% sure, but I think the racetrack was Lime Rock. Great to see you are getting closer to my neck of the woods! You guys are kicking butt now! Even though I am younger, health will not allow me to do what you are doing, so I am living vicariously through Bluegrass and you. Wanted to Hike just the 100 Mile Wilderness, but, Now They are thinking I have arthritis of the back. Can't wait to see Katahdin with you two! I am sure I Will tear up right along with you
