    This is almost the scooter I been dreaming of! I been waiting for a scooter company to make a scooter that is full suspension, dual motor, 10in tires and weigh about 40lbs with a top speed of 30mph.

  • @chaxologist2961

    @chaxologist2961

    For it to weigh 40Ibs, you'd need a significant amount of carbon fiber or magnesium composite within the body because the 10-inch tires would make this scooter weigh noticeably heavier by about 5 to 10 pounds because it will require fitting in a stronger motor than the 350 watt the 9-inch tire makes. Not really a world of difference in terms of performance but for portability!

    Great scooter. One thing that can improve quality of life would be a removable battery. We are in Canada, the temperature goes below 10°c for 7/12 months of the year. If we can take the battery inside and leave the scooter outside we can make use of the scooter for much longer.

    Got it! I believe a solution could involve making the removal process even more straightforward. Currently, it can be taken off in under 5 minutes, but I think we can make it easier!

    👋 A quick swap battery would be nice because we could remove the battery to reduce weight when carrying the scooter upstairs. 10 inch tires should be the minimum size-11 inches would be ideal. Great job, BTW! Release the scooter in the EU and the UK too.

    Great job, congratulations. But, if there is something that bothers me, its the extention to the outside of the front power cable. In a crowded place, someone can, accidentally, hook to it and have an accident.

    Well, let me tell you that my Nami and my g30 have the same cable-protuberance. The Nami has like a worm-tube cable guide, the Segway doesn't have any. I don't know why I did notice it in your work. Let me tell you, your work is marvelous. My Nami has a lot of complexities. I got a millions thing to take care and those hydraulic brakes are are one of them. Then the Nami recovery braking only is engineered to work when you press the brakes. That is dangerous because, on traffic, they enter too hard or too soft (depends of the configuration) Imagine myself with a trailer truck behind me at 70km/h and needing to break.

    Great review--thank you! My previous scooter experience was on rentals, the Lime in particular, but I bought the 2024 Apollo Go. Go is faster & quicker than the 2024 Lime, but the Lime is smoother, more comfortable, and more stable. The Go wheels are tiny for portability, but it’s a bumpy ride and not very comfortable. The wheels take literally five strokes from the Joe Blow bike pump. The Go won’t fit in my WRX sedan trunk, unless I leave the trunk open. It’s very tight. The Go fits in the back seat of my car but it takes the full length of the seat. I’m not sure if the City or Klima would fit on the back seat. The Go fits easily in our Impreza hatchback, and it could easily hold two The deck of the Go is a bit cramped and I find myself shifting my feet around frequently on a one hour ride. The Go climbs small hills well, and large hills slowly. I live in the mountains. Battery drains quickly for 195 pound rider at mostly full speed, but it lasts a long time at more comfortable speeds. Dot Matrix display needs trip odometer and clock. Definitely room for improvement on the display. I don’t like it. Quad phone mount is useful but I don’t like fiddling with my phone. Excellent production quality & shipping Unit arrived from Best Buy in two days, perfect shape Very good help desk response over text & email Good printed documentation for setup Decent smart phone app for settings, but could be simplified. Good assembly video on KZread. Easy & exciting setup. I never want to be a scooter mechanic and Paul @Electric Scooter Review scored the Go 9.2 out of 10 for maintenance. This was a big factor in my purchase. I like the scooter but wish for longer range and a smoother ride, without sacrificing portability. I want it all! I might go with electric bikes if I had the choice again.

    Cant wait for mine! In the future make scooters that have this form factor but instead of aluminum use carbon fiber reinforced plastics for molds. At 35-40% lighter than aluminum this would be well worth the 10-15% increase cost basis. The acceleration, top soeed , and efficiency while cruising will be tremendous!

  • @eloipecquet

    @eloipecquet

    Hello Austin! Certainly, we could produce it in carbon fiber, which would be really cool! While exploring potential partners in China, we've encountered an issue with the cost-it's higher. As a customer, would you be willing to pay 30%-40% more to have it made in carbon fiber? Let us know! 🙂

  • @AustinF516

    @AustinF516

    4 ай бұрын

    @@eloipecquet carbon fiber is much more expensive like you stated. However, carbon fiber reinforced plastics especially for a scooter application where the forces on the structure are not as high as on a car you should be able to cut costs relative to pure carbon fiber. If you can find adjust the design of the largest items like the deck and stem to have them be the simplest molds possible while still retaining the minimum functionality the scooter requires that might be the way to go. Imagine a scooter that is 45lbs with 11 inch tires, that can go from 0-30 mph in 4 seconds. It doesn't need to even hit 44mph like the pro. You said it yourself in a video the other day. People who ride the Pro average the same speed as single motor city! Thus a scooter with the integration of technology you already have in your current / upcoming models, people would pay $3,500 for the equivalent of an M3 competition do it all carry it anywhere scooter!

    Wow what compliments! Thank you! We want to be clear that the Go isn't replacing the City - we see the Go as the perfect choice for casual rides under 10KM each way or 20KM round trip. Good for someone coming from a Segway Max or perhaps living in a hilly area. The City is our day to day commuter - perfect for longer riders and more demanding conditions. You made the right call! :)

    Looking real good Eloi / Team Apollo. Suggestion...... How about an Orange coloured silicone band as the pull down feature for the magnetic latch? A) It's a more durable material, especially for better water / weather proofing purposes B) It's easily replaceable as a spare part after time goes by due to general wear n' tare C) Adding a little bit more Orange would give it a tad more of an Apollo 'Vibe' to the Go just like my previous suggestion of the 'A' Apollo Logo on the fender arm / bracket also being Orange colour rather than Black for a little bit more sparkle and recognition that says to admirers on the street that YES this is an Apollo Scooter! What do you think ? 🤔 Lastly, perhaps make the rear deck turn signal a little more Orange coloured when signal is operating? To me it currently looks to be a little to opaque or frosted when turn signal is activated. Or is that something that can be adjusted on the fly through the Application ? Anyway, just my take on a couple of ideas to make it a little bit more premium on your entry level scooter series. BTW.... Any idea when the next walkthrough on the next version of the Explore is happening? Very keen to see progress on that sexy beast.

    Great scooter catering for most people’s needs and is low maintenance and suitable in the wet! As an etwow/uscooter owner I do like folding handlebars for ultra portability and easy storage however the go does still have fairly narrow handlebars and has everything that I would want to improve on my etwow namely ip rating, turn signals front and back, dual motor power, drum brakes, pneumatic tyres. Great job Apollo! I’m praying Uk law when passed allows above 500 watts scooters cos I think the go will do very very well. :)

    Nice work, Eloi & team. Question: why doesn't the headset wire go thru the folding mech to be hidden inside the deck? You could also hide the motor wire if you can get it to go thru the suspension and fork. It's a bit more fiddly to design, but I think it would really look neater.
