Currently I am using M7 rr on my svartpilen and alpha h1 on my 390 duke. These imported tyres are in a league of their own. I have ridden my 2 bikes back to back on the same road many times and the thing that stand out about the M7 is the grip and how easy it is to change direction, the effort required to ride fast on the m7 is much less than the h1. The only let down is the short life. I am tempted to get the rosso 3 for the duke but i am held back as my yearly ridding has reduced to almost 2k kms.

Should I go for road 5 or Protorq extreme or any other? My riding is low, no touring, so no problem if it doesn't last, no problem if it costs a lot. But I want it to perform great in dry conditions as well as wet/bad roads with sand as i am in Bangalore which can have sudden rains / sand on a corner that I'm slightly leaned in. Thanks in Advance!

The retailer told me that he can give me 2 different sizes 140 and 150 but the difference is that the front tyre is 110/70 in Z rating and the rear (140/70) is H. He says i can mix match the speed rating in case if i wanna stick to the recommended size. If you like having fun in the corners regularly, then yes. My friend and I have been thrashing the Protorq Extremes on our V3's for the last few months and are very satisfied, apart from the soft tyre edges wearing out within 4000km of constant hill riding. The center is still alright though, and I think I can get 8000km out of them if I stop cornering and just do casual highway touring. I heard the Alpha H1's mess up the handling of the V3 a little due to their stiffness and weight, but I am yet to test and confirm this, but their advantage is they last twice as much as the Protorq Extremes.
