This game is set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. The game is multiplayer-only, and its structure is similar to Valve's Left 4 Dead series. Set in the End Times, players can team up with three other players to fight against the Skaven, a race of rodent-like monstrous creatures, in the city of Ubersreik. At the end of each match, the players are given the opportunity to roll dice, which determine the weapons they will receive as reward.
The End Times (2519 - 2528 IC) is the great cataclysmic apocalypse that was predicted to bring about the end of the Warhammer World. It was heralded by the arrival of the Twin-Tailed Comet, both an omen of hope and one of destruction. The comet signaled the coronation of the new Everchosen: Archaon the Three Eyed King, the Lord of the End Times, and his bid to bring destruction upon the Human nations of the Old World.
