Okay i get PTV is popular but Jamie goes fucking hard ive seen them live 5 times each time he is by far the most energized member of that band. This was well deserved. I saw them and he slashed his head open and played the entire show bleeding

I know all those other bassist are great too but this was well deserved , Jaime goes hard during concerts, He's even gotten several injuries but still played and went just as hard, he has an indescribable energy and this was very much deserved. I'm proud of my hime-time

You cannot say that it is all about the fan base when bands such as paramore and fall out boy have a fan base much larger than pierce the veil. I'm not a pierce the veil 'fan girl' but I genuinely think that Jamie deserved this and worked hard to win this award.

I'm so happy that Jaime won but in the 2015 APMA's when Zack Merrick won he had a little card of what he would say and just thinking that he didn't win makes me so sad because what if he had a little notecard that year too? And then he just has to throw it away all disappointed that he didn't win..

Just saying Anyone out there who ACTUALLY plays bass should be happy with this result. Jeremy and Jaime are the best! They don't just follow the guitar and try to make the listining experience as fun as possible.

Bassist are honestly my favorite part of every band

Jaime is hilarious and energized, and a great player. I love most of the others too but he plays with his heart, and plays good. He deserves it

If i was giving the award I would have freaked out when I realized this meant i had to pronounce Jaime's name, I love him and PTV but I still find Mexican names hard.

Btw using your fingers doesn't make you talented than any other bassist if you just practice for about 2 months you'll get it fingers just give it a more bassy sound!

Playing without a pick isn't that impressive (coming from someone who plays with their fingers) but then again I struggle with playing with a pick

Ha! No. He is a bottom of the barrel bassist. He was originally a guitarist so that explains why he does nothing impressive. I've been a bassist for seven years and I can only ever hear Ashley, rarely on their newest record, only when he does stupid bass slides at the worst times.

I think you're just biased. Ashley never does any awesome jumps or really anything impressive. His bass is really pretty basic. I think Devin Sola should have won to be honest

But as for Devin I can honestly say he's not very distinctive and he's really just there for theatrics considering he doesn't contribute any music really. (Ricky writes the bass and records it for albums; Devin just plays it later.) I honestly think Jaime deserved the award. :)
