Slowed down to 67% so us mere mortals can try to comprehend.

Jesus, it makes you realize how fast the original is
this is so amazing. how can someone compose a track like this? unbelievable. At this speed, it gets even more clear how crazy this is.

i've listened to all the fast ones on Drukqs at least 50 times over. I still find new things upon every listen if i pay attention.

Most of his tracks like this he makes on a tracker, meaning he can make it slowed down and then speed it up.
the image is a "julia set" fractal using a power higher than 2 i think en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julia_set (wouldn't have posted this except if you're the kind of person who listens to slowed-down aphex twin tracks you're likely to be interested in this factoid lol)

man... 6:00 - 7:00 may be my favorite minute in music history. so organic and electric. insectile even.

simply aphex twin doing his thing. amazing
same pitch makes this so much better
Surprisingly clean.
I actually just don't recognize it anymore at this speed. It feels so foreign.
That ending still sounds so beautiful
The bogdan influence really comes through during the end at this speed
yeah this was always a banger. i used to focus on specific sounds to really break it down this is amazing especially for the end.
this made 10:37-10:39 a whole ton better. To be honest, it's for that part that this might be my favorite song.
pure lush track, masterpiece forever
hearing things i've never heard before
trippier than the speedier version
this song makes me believe that there is life after death.........something beautiful after death.
Thank you for this. Just thank you.

Same, you get so much more detail
It’s amazing how essentially as you listen to this you realise there’s more material and complexity of production going on here within every bar than could be heard on an entire album by someone else.

What's also amazing is that you are listening to the old version that didn't even turn out that good because you can hear artifacts. I did recently upload the reissue from 2017. Link is pinned here.

very interesting

how does he make such great pseudo-guitar synths?
@TheAvatrolOfficial

+Moistened Mann Using square/pulse waves for your oscillator(s), setting a quick attack with the right amount of sustain and decay, having the resonance on your low pass filter set to the sweet spot, automating the cutoff on your filter throughout the track, and having the right settings on the filter envelope. If you listen to his stuff carefully there is no doubt he automates pulse width, the ADSR, the envelope, pretty much everything to achieve different effects throughout the whole track. A light amount of reverb is definitely present on all the synth tracks here for sure. Spend a lot of time tracking the notes. Don't use arpegiators. Try a combination of quick and sustained notes and try to make dynamic patters with notes that go from high and low. After you have a whole track of this or several bars worth of a pattern, add another more sine like synth on another channel and let the two channels play with each other in interesting and dynamic ways. Then add a more general atmospheric synth with a long attack and longer release in the background. During certain sections of this track you will hear some of synths will even sustain one note in background while the others synths keep going. Also, when the synth gets very "bitey" and more aggressive, it's definitely NOT distortion applied as an effect, but letting up on the filter a bit, maybe increasing the resonance and using some sort of phase modulation that is probably part of the synth itself and not a separate effect. If you are interested in doing this sort of thing, my number one (and free) synth that I would recommend is naive lead by xoxos, super under rated and it can do amazing things if you take the time to learn all of it's features and capabilities. You can definitely achieve all the synth sounds in this track, (if not exactly, pretty damn close) with that vst, and it's free. I've bought many plugins that are hailed as being amazing. They usually just have more bells and whistles that you can apply as separate effects anyways, and I always go back to that synth, especially for those 'purist synth' sounds, leads, and bass synth stuff. Good luck.

dude..this is fresh as fuck..any more slowed down ones?
He got to play with the digital processing hardware he got made in thisone
only started recognising it at 9:30... mad. but i did skip the first 6 mins cos i was getting frustrated not recognising lol
I like to put it at 125% which makes it slightly slower than the released speed but a bit faster than this. I can't work out the % right now, but it's 10 over 12 of the original.

do you know you can adjust more. I always get artifacts though and especially with Richard's melting pitch goofs it's apparently hard for youtube's tools to transcribe which is totally weird because I can do it better 10 years go.
Sounds great played at 1.25 speed... 😺
HOw to make it slower with same pitch in such good quality? Looking for technique and advice on how to when one have flacc/wav track quality at disposal. (is higher needed ???) Thanks
