Just bought one of these and today I also bought an iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB. Together I hope to capture close up of a knife edge and burr for sharpening photos. The good part is I bought the Apexel thinking it was just a cheap gimmick so I'm happy to see this video. Everything arrives next week,

good video, provide more samples will be better, looks like there is a blur around and crisp sharp focus only in middle and making it that close can easily damage the lens by dirt

Some compact cameras like Olympus TG-5, TG-6 also do microscope tricks like these :)

My 200x arrived today. Its a dud. But it isn't APEXEL. Has no markings. Others may work. Make sure the brand name is on the the advert. Really hard to set up and finally just delivers what the camera does without it. I was hoping for a working version.

Can you use the device while it's plugged in and charging?

Yes you can, but you need to be really really close to the subject so regular macro photography/videography is not possible.

Switching brightness modes of the LED backlight is barely noticeable. That is, in the second brightness mode it shines almost the same as in the first (the difference in brightness is barely noticeable). Do you also?

hi! thanks for the video, i have a question. When you use this lens, can you adjust the zoom (to also be able to take pictures with 50x zoom, 100x, etc. until 200x) or is it just 200x?

This might be a dumb question but, Can you use this to shoot video and have it like a telephoto lens? Or is it only for close up photos

Only for really really close up photos

Don't know why it's so hard to make a device cheaply that gives big zoom with 60cm focal length which is needed for microelectronics work. I'm settling on just zoomin my smartphone and sending it to a TV for a bigger image.

Come on... 200x? :))

I have an Apexel 100X its very good but this 200X takes you to another landscape, you wouldn’t necessarily know what the subject is, which is ok I suppose.

200x is really close, and it’s like you said, it’s like another landscape that up close ☺️

Does it have to be close to object or it can be far from the object? Can you zoom on the moon, make the surface looks clear?

You can always zoom in digitally, but the quality of the image will be affected.

How to buy

Is it a telephoto lens or not. I assume it’s a microscope but many ads show it being used to take telephoto shots which is what I would want it for?

I didn’t get it to work with the macro function on the phone, the focus wasn’t right. But it could be human error though ☺️

With the 200x we’re talking about only a couple of millimeters. Never tried the 100x so don’t know about that one..

This lens is for super macro shots, if you look at the examples in the video you see what I mean 😊 There are other lenses with brackets to attach to your phone out there that might work better for your workflow 😊

I have reported the infomercial that is on KZread of this product advertising it as a high-powered telephoto lens that allows you to zoom to see distant objects - that is not what this nanozoom 200x is. It is actually a 200 power microscope functioning like a macro lens, capable of imaging objects close to the lens only! Buyer beware! However, @RogerAVHansen’s video is quite informative & accurate, the infomercial to which I’m referring starts with long zoom shots of wildlife & later zooms in on athletes on field from up in stadium seating, completely false claims about what this product will do. This product is also properly advertised and sold on Amazon as a 200x power microscope for smart phone, and that’s exactly what it is. It is fixed at 200x power and will not zoom to various powers up to 200x. The infomercial in question is constantly zooming in and out, giving one the idea that this thing zooms variably/telescopically, that it also does not!
