I didn't know you couldn't shoot TSS in Canada, but at least you can shoot a muller choke!

@@coocspursuitsoh for sure, I’ve never used them and I’m going all in and getting the case of 100 for my 12 gauge. I just don’t know which choke will work best for it. I have a code black duck and factory modified and improved cylinder. I guess I’ll just have to see what works best

@@Dunkinblownutzz_1 I'm not sure if you can shoot TSS out of the code black duck, I would definitely do some research on that before you shoot it out of that choke because if its not made for TSS it will get messed up, but the factory improved cylinder and factory modified will work well. Another choke that works really well with the TSS is the Muller Chokes that I was useing in this video, if you want to get one you can use this link mullerchokes.com?p=S109k4hGh And use code CASEL10 for a 10% discount, if you are interested.

@@coocspursuits I appreciate it man, I’ll check them out! I just confirmed the code black duck can be used with any non toxic ammo including steel. But I was definitely interested in that muller UFO

@@coocspursuitsif there’s anyway you could pattern that TSS #9 with the code black duck at 40 yards I would really appreciate that. I’m just curious on how it looks before I buy it

I don't rate the apex TSS loads, at all. Firstly they are absolutely ripping you off - 1 ounce of TSS is almost certainly costing them less than $2. You think $7 a round is fair? Secondly, they are way too fast; tungsten does not need high velocity - even lead didn't need high velocity and tungsten is nearly 60% more dense! That speed is just forcing the pattern to spread out faster. They should have stuck an extra ounce of steel shot underneath the tungsten to keep the pressures up instead of increasing the powder charge.

Yep I know it's not a fair price. And your right way too fast. They make them go fast and try to trick everyone into thinking speed kill but really speed just opens your pattern faster. And also mixing shot like steel and TSS is not a good mix because the thing is if you shoot over decoys than the TSS isn't going to make a difference be if a bird is within 25yds than any steel load will kill them. But if you try shooting far than the steel opens up to much and the your left with very few TSS pellets, so at the far range you don't even have enough TSS pellets to kill birds consistently. TSS steel duplex loads are a rip off. And are only for marketing purposes

@@coocspursuitsI used to hold similar views on duplexes, and still do for the majority of factory offerings. With that said, a 1 ounce load of TSS is going to require so much filler that you may as well fill it with something useful - i.e. steel shot. The steel won't perform at range but that's why you have an ounce of TSS in it, and at short range the steel will spread out a bit faster and fill out the pattern. It also avoids the need to use boatloads of powder to get the pressure up. If you start homeloading you should try it.
