Gotta love how dedicated Maggie is. You really get the sense that she truly is fearless unlike many characters who might claim to be. The only thing that I can imagine scaring her is if you blew up Salvo or something, but in regards to her own safety? Yeah there’s pretty much no way you could ever intimidate her.

I'm sure she definitely has supporters on Salvo. They'll keep her fight going for their homeworld. The Syndicate may paint her a villain, but Salvo knows the truth.

As a kiwi I found it interesting that Gibralter was written as if of maori descent but the fact that Maggie also speaks maori is really neat and im wondering if they have a kiwi on the team trying to push that kind of choice. Cool to see more representation of my country even if I dont particularly like either of the characters.

Gibby is more Hawaiian based but is aimed towards all polys, since he speaks Hawaiian and his voice actor is pretty big in the Hawaiian community. While mags seems to be more aimed at New Zealand I’m guessing because New Zealand is associated with Australia and Salvo seems to be around that theme.

I love the character building! This video sends chills down my spine, from the way she shouts "For Salvo!" to ATLA-like voice acting from the Judge (honestly reminded me a little of the Fire-Lord or one of his generals). From The mystery behind Mr. Silva to the breadth of personality Mad Maggie's voice actor puts into every line; it's outstanding!

One of the things I love about Maggie is that her laughter isn’t crazy or insane sounding, just her laughing at the idea of going to die in the apex games makes her feel much more genuine of a character instead of being a generic crazy villain

I love that she has a different purpose in the games compared to the rest of them. She’s there for punishment

The apex games are a televised blood sport, so maggie getting the chance to merk all of the syndicates favorite entertainers while actively slandering their government on national television would likely seem more appealing to her than just quitting life after being given her sentence.

Mad Maggie is a character taken from borderlands. Her madness is just so Pandora like. I love it. The design, the personality, the badassery, the voice acting. Props to the team. Great work.

You don't see it that way because your probably not connected to that culture whatsoever. You don't have to be tho. At 2:24 Mad Maggie is actually speaking Māori which is the language of New Zealand, what she is actually doing is performing a Haka which is a ceremonial dance of Māori people, which can represent the pride, strength, and unity of a community. But I have translated her Haka on google translate and this is what came up: Māori: ki kaha, kia toa, kia mananui! He toa, he toa, kia kaha ra! English: be strong, be brave, be happy! Brave, brave, be strong!

Of all the things the judge said about Maggie, i agree with him for the last one. The amount of innocent lifes lost that day is a bit too much. And i love Maggie's VA when she spoke about the price of freedom. You could tell in her voice the regret and sadness when talks about that incident

The fact that she broke off her teeth and spit it on the judge's face just to make a point (and blind him in one eye as a byproduct) makes her an absolute savage.

Despite not enjoying her as an announcer I think as a legend she’ll be far more tolerable and I’m actually kinda hyped for her entrance into the games the dynamics that are going to form through voice lines this season will def be the most interesting

ya know, when i first seen Mad Maggie and her release, i wasn't sure how to feel about the character but as we got more of her lore and backstory? i gained so much respect and love for that chaotic madwoman.

Narratively I love the one two punch of it! It was "Oh brutal- DUDE! Nice shot" It was short, quick, and really showed the attitude that got her name

For anything thats wondering What Maggie is saying In the Begining She says Kia ora, Bro! which translates to Hello Bro When shes about to be executed She chants Kia Kaha, Kia Toa, Kia manawanui! He toa, he toa, kia kaha ra! Which translates to Be strong and brave, be patient! A warrior, a hero, and be strong! (Note The Translation Mite be off but overall the main sentence she is saying is to be brave and be strong) What Language is she speaking is Maori who are indigenous of Polynesian who are the main people of New Zealand

I agree with you, I personally think that most people didn’t actually hate Maggie as as character but they just hated how repetitive and annoying her voice lines were and just projected that as “hating her” but if you really think about it she’s an amazing legend, in my opinion anyway :)

If anyone actually knows how teeth work, that scene in the courtroom where Maggie knocks her tooth out. She also had to have bitten off the ligaments holding her tooth to its nerves as well. So not only had that had to be the grosses thing but also the most painful thing.

Universum Apex has the coolest movies and stories

Octanes dad being a villain was something I never expected. I can see why octane doesn't get along with his old man

I honestly feel like Maggie and Revenant will have some interesting dialogue about Freedom since that is what they both crave for in their own way. Maggie wanting Salvo to be free from Syndicate control and Rev wanting to free from the immortal body he considers a prison.

Really love the inclusion of a maori character aswell and was so hyped when someone leaked her as being a legend way back when.

She has the talent to be able aim so well as to spit a tooth across a room and hit a dude in the eye. Plus have it have enough velocity to take out an eye. That better be her ultimate 😂

Nice to see apex still going strong. I remember so many haters saying this game will die out when it released, it was all hype. Nah they made an entire universe out of this. I just hope mechanic wise they haven’t changed too much because I want to get back into it

Props to the writers for having Maggie to be a meh/annoying character to be one of the most interesting ones I have seen so far. Might even main her just because the development they gave her

Fuse's voice actor did say back in season 8 that the season 12 legend was gonna be interesting and that we should look forward to it, so it's most likely Maggie thats the new legend

@@DiscoGoesOn5067 Objectively wrong. Mad Maggie is stated to be of Māori descent. If you read the lore and or apex comics, she greets people with “Kia Ora” frequently (Hey/Hello-I am half Māori). She also stated a couple Māori words at the end. And the devs stated Fuse and Maggie’s complicated relationship is akin to Australian and New Zealander rivalry. Also at the end, she was doing a haka and the words she was saying “kia kaha, kia toa, kia manawanui!” mean “BE STRONG, BE DEVOTED, BE WILLING!”. Also her voice actor is Māori, her name is Nicola Kāwana. In short, your hypothesis was wrong. Maggie is Māori not Aboriginal. Edit: Also for those who want to know, the end portion of the Haka “He toa, he toa, kia kaha ra!” means “Be a warrior, be strong!”
