I heard about Tencent owning pretty large chunk of stake (40%) in Unreal Engine stock and EA actually doesn't see eye-to-eye with Tencent creating mobile specific legends. EA also ordered Tencent to release Olympus by the time S2 was released, but keep getting delayed for some reason. Most likely due to the fact that they also had to develop new legends but at at the same time making sure they would look proper in both available perspectives in the game. I guess Tencent was going to pull the PUBGM move, having total control of the mobile version. Judging from EA deciding to just shut it down meaning they still yet to achieve that. We heard rumors about Apex Legends 2, if it's true I'm guessing Respawn will use the newest Source Engine instead of UE but nobody knows.

engine doesn't matter. the game was absolutely perfect. the issue i think is that game had really fewer players. even 100mb apps have higher downloads than this masterpiece. the mobile industry is simply too small to have so many triple A titles running at a time successfully

@@NSGArsalan True, engine is not really the main reason but when you indirectly owned major share of that engine, you could do whatever you want for your own gain. Though, it's still not apparent what Tencent really gained considering they're at a loss right now with Apex M.

@@NSGArsalan truth be told, i believe that this game is ahead of It's time and they need too realise that most pc players will not downgrade too play on mobile! This game is kind of flawless but we complain too much and if things dont go our way we leave for that same reason

@@eriqkh7769 Given how Tencent is thriving in the mobile market, I personally as a player, would prefer Tencent to take over. They know what they're doing while EA most likely just bitter why they don't get that millions on a flat graph after cooperating with the likes of Tencent. Having mobile specific legends actually is a good incentive for PC or other platform players to try Apex Mobile.
