@@seraines yes sir mr Raines. Much respect to you. You really take the music serious and take time to learn and feel the intricate bends, pinch harmonics y todo and overall groove. You are a excellent lead player but really excell at keeping those Allan Collins rhythm parts alive. Allan was a hell of a lead player but leaser known for the Malcolm young like powerful groovy rhythm playing. Much respect from Arizona USA 🇺🇸. And a shoutout with much respect to mr. Pyle

@@lsmith869 No there's not. Only ONE ORIGINAL SKYNYRD BAND MEMBER IS ALIVE TODAY & that's Gary Rossington who's with the band calling themselves Skynyrd. Artimus Pyle is NOT an original member of Skynyrd. The original drummer for the original Skynyrd band was the now late great Bob Burns. Ya may want to do a better job at fact checking next time. Just saying.

Always thought you were a wild man back in the 70's and have come to realize how neat you are. I'm a guitar player and l appreciate how close ya'll are to the album. My brother Philip was the original avid RVZ fan then and we lost him last December. Simple Man was his favorite and when I hear it today I hold back the tears. We were a poor family in the Texas South & Skynyrd was our entertainment growing up. Would love to see ya'll.

I've had the pleasure of seeing this awesome band 4x over the last 5-6 years. Once, on a Rock'n'Roll cruise out of Ft Lauderdale, Fl, twice at an amazing club called ISIS in Artimus' hometown of Asheville, NC and once in the most unlikeliest venues of my life. . a small town theater in Marion, Va in Nov '21. I grew up in that little town and remember seeing movies in that theater. For his age, Artimus WORKS that kit. It's a physical session with lots of fills and rhythms. He's not phoning it in. He's also a very entertaining performer who shares a lot of time with his fans. This band is so tight. Every player in the group has immense talent. I do remember Artimus when he was drumming for LS back in '76. . .a year before the crash. To see him continue to keep LS music alive is such a treat. I know that Gary Rossington and Johnny VZ are still out on the road but for my money, this group is better. My opinion. Thx guys.

Pure magic! That was beyond awesome, especially when one has been a fan of Skynyrd from the very beginning and thinks about ALL that history and politics, while listening and watching you guys play. I admit, I haven't seen or heard a WHOLE lot about the APB until recently (but knew it existed..partly thanks to your channel Scott) and was a bit biased towards Gary's current Skynyrd line-up, and wasn't even quite sure there was enough room in this world for both bands to exist, separately, and to be BOTH taken seriously, instead of being all together in just one awesome band. HOWEVER...I am now no longer ignorant (in this matter anyway)! I absolutely LOVE the APB. I just watched this performance 3 times IN A ROW (twice for the pure enjoyment and once with guitar in hand)! My new outlook is, as a fan, that I now have TWO Awesome bands to provide me my original DNA Lynyrd Skynrd fix that MY DNA craves so much. I cannot wait to see you guys live. I'm definitely buying tickets if you guys play San Antonio and this world gets back to normal. I called my drummer to come over tonight, and we're gonna scour youtube for all things APB...should be a blast. In the meantime, it doesn't escape me that DUE to the circumstances and dynamics between the two bands, such as they are...you, Brad, Jerry, and Dave are some of the luckiest SOB's on the planet. Thank you for posting, Scott! Long live the APB!

How strong are songs when they can just be played by so many different people for so many years and every time there instantly recognized. That is such a amazing special thing Ronnie Van zant was a phenomenal leader frontman singer, delegate and songwriter. I find it hard to watch the concert at Wembley opening for the Stones without getting choked up. I get sad and sentimental just thinking about my past in the 70s 80s and 90s I couldn't imagine going through what these guys went through and then thinking back to those times. What it must be like for Artemis to watch that show. How original how he would use that high hat as a beat of its own the quick open very original and significant to Skynyrd. It pisses me off how many people buy the whole racist BS and don't give them a chance because of the flag. Ahhh those people listen to propaganda and miss the great stories and advice that Ronnie gave. I've often fronted southern rock bands doing all the Skynyrd and stuff and other classic rock from the drums and I tell you what Artemis, if you see this and you ever need somebody to fill in and sing you let me know brother. What an honor that would be. I think you might even know some of the guys that I've played with from Southern PA Northern Harford County. Keep it going man. God bless you all.

This line up is as much Skynyrd as the so called Skynyrd is. The only difference is one original member Gary Rossington vs One original member Artimus Powell. they are both really tribute bands and tribute bands are the wave of the future. ticket prices are out of control. the big acts are ridiculous. Dragging around any where from 3 to a dozen tractor trailers around full of bells and whistles with huge crew and 500 grand bill to pay. what ever happened to just go in and play. these guys go in and play. I want to meet Artimus. I could have about 5 years ago when they were playing at our amphitheater in Wheeling WV but I just got done in the theatre as there show was ending down the street so I didn't make it. I believe this channel belongs to the lead guitarist. Our arena in Wheeling opened in 1977 and Skykyrd played there not long before the crash. I think it was the second or third show of the Street Survivors tour. It was very sad to hear that plane went down and it shocked most of music industry. Enjoyed it and thank you.

Cannot stand Artimus cause of his personal life. However, he is a good drummer and I appreciate his talent. He got mad over not included in the Lynyrd Skynyrd farewell tour, but thing is, after seeing how poorly he plays songs he recorded and wrote drums for, even compared to the live versions he played back in the 70s, this is terrible and changes the feel to the songs for me. I honestly love the current Lynyrd Skynyrd line up. I seen them live in 2015 and one of the top 2 concerts I have been to. I don’t get why people are mad over JVZ continuing the band when it was Gary asking him to stay in lead singer. Ricky Medlocke was one of the two drummers (other was Bob Burns) on Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “First and Last” album before “Pronounced...” was released so I don’t get why people wanna say he’s not an original member when he in fact was. Gary wants to continue the band for the fans and pay tribute in his way to RVZ and the rest of the guys I feel. I also feel it is a form a “therapy” for Gary to play these songs as a way to release emotion for a bit. Same with JVZ to pay tribute and remember his brother along with being “therapy” for him to sing his brother’s songs and help his music live on.
