I know! That is my favorite thing about her house tours, though I do love the plants. This one is great, but my fave was a young black woman in the Bronx, I think, who had been homeless, but now has such a beautiful, imaginative, serene apartment full of plants, and was such a joyful, positive person. I want to find and watch it again.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that you have a lot of the same “different” plants that I have - Eve’s Pin, Lifesaver Plant for example. I don’t have any of the plants that need higher humidity, but maybe one day I’ll get a cabinet. Thank you for sharing your beautiful plants with us! 💜

Home tours are the best, I don't know how these people keep up with their plants!

May be just my opinion but his Philodendron Brandi is so cute and the little leave are so adorable. I love the way leggy plants look.

This man is giving me some serious plant envy! And those mosaic pots are to die for!

He has so many beautiful plants yet, the way he places them, it looks like he could have a whole lot more. It's gorgeous there! Thank you for opening your house for us to see all the beautiful plants. I've got lots of ideas now!

Great video - I wish all who view such a video are as serious as Summer and this wonderful young man ( notice his name is Paul Thompson ) with the apartment. Paul has evolved into a cheerful house plant expert - what a lovely fellow !!! The house plants are ALL INDIVIDUALLY looked after - their botanical names provided - lots to learn. Paul had a steep learning curve over months to years and he certainly understands lighting, soil conditions, humidity very well. Summer choses her people well and really makes nice videos. She is welcome to visit us in the UAE - hope she will !!! If Paul wants to come he is welcome too.

Your plant collection is beautiful. I love how you devote special care to each plant depending on specific needs for soil, food, humidity, and/or lighting.

It is wonderful that he cares enough to name his green roommates. A personal relationship helps to keep you aware of the care they need. If you have the mind for it, despite all the other challenges, you are lucky. Have fun.

Very impressive number of plants that Paul has fit into his apartment. I use Dyna Gro and find it an excellent fertilizer for a wide range of plants. I feed my Tillandsias 1/4 strength with it once a month all year round. That’s in the Northeast.

Loved Paul and his plants. So kind to share his plants & appartment with us. Love watching plant vids...but due to me living in the southern hemisphere, my plants needs/care can differ greatly to most advice given in plant care vids.

Really enjoyed this plant tour. Great collection and well organised.

What an amazing collection, and both of you so knowledgeable! ~ it was like visiting a botanical garden. I learn so much from watching these videos, and I love it that you give the Latin binomials. It was a treat to see the cactus: 'Gymnocalycium Mihanovichhii' as it is my most recent cactus acquisition purchased in the Spring from the Kew Gardens garden shop here in London. It has been non-stop flowering for months, and has the prettiest longlasting pink flowers that bloom one at a time in a 'crown' of buds.

Those pots are gorgeous. I love how colourful and reflective they are

Me too! I found a small, rather beat up looking maidenhair fern in a garden center in April, but thought it was basically healthy and it was only $3.95. I got it, trimmed back all the messed up fronds, placed it in just the right spot sitting atop a bed of gravel with water for humidity, and it has tripled in size and looks gorgeous. All of my plants start as pieces from someone else, or 2-4 inch plants I purchase. I love watching them grow and thrive.

Love your plant tours. Yes love to get plants small and see them grow.

My bestie inherited her grandfather’s Christmas cactus over 30 years ago back in Ohio. She and the plant have resided in the Seattle area for years now, both thriving. The cactus blooms every year after Thanksgiving.

"I love how thick and woody they get here in the old part" (talking about that ficus elastica). As someone who lives in a city where these are grown everywhere, this type of comment is always funny to me. I'm used to seeing them as huge 10+ meter tall trees. The first time I saw one in a pot as a houseplant my first thought was: Those little saplings look cool! I never thought to keep one inside. They are sidewalk busters (one of them almost destroyed my grandma's house foundations and it took years of fighting the city government for them to remove it), so I never thought they could grow in a pot until a couple of years ago.

I love this video. Very real, unscripted, spontaneous, witty and interesting. Great beautiful results!

Though I live by the sea, the humidity I get does not seem enough to sustain my Maranthas and my Anthurium Clarinervium in the hot Mediterranean weather I have. So far, they grow well only in a greenhouse. It is challenging to keep it cool when the only good location I have gets an hour or two of morning sun. When I have time in the morning, I do my best to remember to open the door of the greenhouse for cooling it before leaving to work. Most seem to do well but few Calatheas and Maranthas seem to suffer.

I really love this space. Great job Paul ❤️❤️❤️
