Good Luck but I have to disagree. Berlin has changed and especially the flat situation makes it a nightmare. I can’t advice it currently and also everyone more coming here will make the situation worse 😢A lot of people got driven out because landlords realized they can rent out to Expats willing to pay every price

My kids have been through that nightmare 😢good luck ! You’re a fighter 💪🏼

Yeah it’s not easy but I still wouldn’t leave Berlin 🤣 takes time but you do find your place!

you can also contact the government owned housing companies like WBM but it’s all crazy today

That’s why I decided to buy an apartment in Berlin and financing per month costs me less than rent and I can do everything I want here :)

Hahaha, never! Rent in Germany is dirt cheap compared to owning. No way in hell are you paying less than 35 years of installments

I believe that anything up to 6 months is not considered “permanent stay” so you don’t have to but if you stay at a place for over 6 months then you should.

One of the reasons I left Berlin even though I was born there... Good luck!
