But I wont lie watching these docs make me feel some type of way. I dont know how we can "get over this". My great grandma moved to Botswana after being chased out of SA and got no compensation. I dont think most young Americans realize what they marched for back in the day when they stood against Apartheid with the rest of the world. The documentary Miracle Rising explains it so beautifully. Allot of Americans helped our journey to freedom.

Oh yeah Trez I noticed by the part of the Rivonia trials that the videos where in colour. That reminds me that the South African government and media purposefully made all image and video footage and newspapers of 1994 and prior all the way to like the 50's or 60's in Black and White, all the way till now so that it feels like and seems like forever ago when that shit ( Apartheid ) just ended now 27 years ago and there were already colour cameras by then idk when exactly but probably the 60's or 70's. Nevertheless things were in colour back then and they probably destroyed the really violent footage and photos. This country has too many secrets that you aren't ready for Trez. Ima start a channel on talking bout things happening in the country. Watch this space Trez 🤙🏼👏🏼🙌🏼👊🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥😤😤😤

Ayo Good day So Lit Fam. Trez I can't speak for the entire Africa but to my knowledge and understanding as a coloured person myself, a person that is mixed from white and black is considered coloured in SA or mixed race to the rest of the world and considered black or African American in America. In SA I think most African Americans would be looked at as both black and coloured if people really get to know their heritage and where their forefathers come from. Yet again to me any mixture of two different races no matter what, you're still coloured, African and mixed race. Which should be valued coz you have a broader heritage to dig deep into and discover your God body being through knowing who you really are in all aspects.

Trevor Noah, in his book, Born a Crime, calls South African apartheid the best top of the range system that the oppressors put in place. In that, the white govt were not just pleased with separating themselves from us Indian, Coloured and Native. They separated all races thereby making the one think that they were superior to the next. This caused turmoil for our forefathers because now you had the "Inferior" races fighting each other.

Yeah because of this many people of colour are in to poverty cause of lack of education. Its only with the recent generations I.e. people born after 1994 are able to get proper education, get good jobs, and start businesses. So generational wealth for people of colour is still a work in progress. But now the main things that separate us are corruption and finances. I hope u do more research on present day South Africa and Africa as a whole. And our relationship with the world. But also know that white people are also in poverty, not all but its there too

And now South Africa is becoming like an apartheid state again(first it was white domination and now black ..I am POC..remember S.A has many different races (mixed race(coloureds),blacks, whites and Asians..So now the minorities are suffering again..we are always in the middle.
