With a set up like this it would be better to put the thin bottom original faom in the lid with Velcro or glue and the fit will be perfect.

You will enjoy it Jennifer! Also the foam in the Apache is a bit thick - I trimmed mine to a quarter of an inch. I just found out hobby lobby sells 1/4 inch foam. www.fireboxcases.com for the EVA foam.

@ermis33 Would be easier and cheaper to use the bottom layer of foam that came with the case and insert in the lid with this setup.

Two questions. I need the foam because I screwed up the foam on my Apache. Do you have a link you can provide to order it? Also, can you please try putting a card saver 2 in there and tell me if it fits? You may have mentioned exactly where to get it but I probably missed it. Thanks.

www.harborfreight.com/3800-weatherproof-protective-case-large-black-63927.html Harbor Freight is where I got mine. I do not suggest putting top loader cards in this. They sink below the foam and will fall out easily. This is for slabs only.

80 bucks. Hella over priced. It's literally eva foam. Can get the same thing off Amazon and cut it yourself for a fraction of what they want. It's a cool idea, but not practical price wise. You could buy 2 of those apache cases for the price of 1 foam insert.
