Don't take it to seriously kids, calculus is not the end all be all, its a tool used to solve physics, engineering and chemistry problems.

If I take AB a year before BC, will I have an advantage in BC?

Most definitely, but you 75% of what you would learn in the BC class is already stuff you would see in AB

I'm currently a calc BC student who took calc AB last year and I have no regrets. It really depends on the circumstances. For most of us, AP calculus is the first time we are give exposure to calculus, and so most of us enter through calc AB first. Having taking AB first was super helpful for developing the foundational basics that you apply in calc BC. Calculus BC is just like AB, the only difference is that it applies concepts you develop in AB in a slightly more advanced manner. And of course you learn more about infinite series too. From a retroperspective, taking AP calc AB will significantly prepare you for AP calc BC!
bruh i have to do calc AB to do BC and i will doing honors alg 2 when i will git 10th grade
Real analysis should replace calculus. Essentially the same thing but much much more useful.
I’m taking AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1, AP Calculus BC, AP Lang and APUSH, is this manageable (self studied BC and Chem)

@@gamereplixer8521 I'm also taking 5 APs next year(Stats, Lang, CSA, APES, and Calc BC), what would be your advice on the rigor of the schedule. Should I switch out to Calc AB?
