Hope you payed attention to the "revealing one's hand" pact. It's jjk's way of making it have sense to reveal techniques and not just leaving viewers to think "wait, why is he saying what his technique does to his enemy?". In Jjk, if you reveal your technique it's strength grows, by removing surprise factor, So you'll see people intentionally reveal or not their techniques for this too.

Mahito is a male, the curse that uses the flower ability is the female, She is the embodiment of Mother Nature.

The guy has markings on his forehead as the bullies used cigarette butts to scar him in that area 😪

The appearance of the curse depends on the accumulation of curse that it manifested from...so when Mahito said there are people scared of the forest and the ocean, they showed the branch eyed and squid faced curses cuz they represent fear or hatred towards them...thats why jougo is a volcano head and Mahito looks like a human (as he said, he is an accumulation of human hatred)
