Bit of a shame you didn't cover Zeke's side and his own snake. Personally I see his vision as being the safer path for humanity as a whole, as it completely removes titan's and their warfare capability's. Not to say the plan is a happy or nice one, but it is the one that would leave humanity in a better place as apposed to Erin's plan to wipe everyone who is not on the island out.

@@collateral8920 Hmm, I'm not an anime only and am aware about "10 years at least" simp Eren and what he did to Carla. But If he truly did it for 100% selfish reasons to make his empty world dream a reality... then why did he leave his friends with Titan powers? No titan powers for them means Eren 100% guaranteed wins and its dream come true. Why did he go out of his way to antagonise Armin and Mikasa.... but worked perfectly fine with say Zeke and Floch? Why bother waste time talking to Armin in Paths, only to say "Bruh, there will be no negotiation so don't bother"? Leaves them with free will. Antagonises them. Forces them to fight him. Then when you combine his past statements from S3 and S4 ("I love you guys" to his friends). The pattern seems to be clear. This mf recreated the "Helos" legend from the last Titan War. But this time Helos is real and its his Paradis buddies. This allowed Armin to finally have the legitimacy (same as Willy Tybur once had) to negotiate a peace deal with the outside world and Yeagerists which lasted decades. Therby ending the previous deadlock that prevented any talks.

But maybe the snake doesn’t bite. That’s what I wanted Isayama to explore. To me the greatest scene in season 4 is Willy’s declaration of war and Eren’s attack, precisely because of how its shock value deceived me. I found myself rooting for a mass murderer because I was caught up in the same mentality: “You say you’ll kill me and my people? Fine, I’ll kill you first”. But later I realized that through that sudden attack on Liberio the Eldians lost one last opportunity for a peaceful resolution: because yes the international diplomats who were present, applauded the declaration of war, but what about the rest of the world? They had just been told that the Eldian threat had been a lie, that until Marley’s attack nine years earlier, there were no Eldians scheming to flatten the world, because the power lay in the hands of a pacifist bloodline. If Eren didn’t attack that night, the world- which also distrusted Marley, mind you - might have reacted very differently to Willy’s reveal. They didn’t invade Eldia, after all, why should they go along with Marley’s destructive rhetoric? But Eren’s attack was enough to finally unite the world against Eldia. Like the real Armin said: “There must have been another way”

It all boils down to the fact that Eren wanted the war and he wanted to flatten the outside world. It also leads to very entertaining results!

I agreed with Eden, the rumbling was nessasary to keep his people safe from the outside world, so they could finally have peace. But then when the rumbling started and I started to see the cost of peace, I changed my mind- by then it was to late- the cost of peace was far to high. And I had to live with myself and at what that decision wrought.

Imo, Eren ACHIEVED HIS GOAL which was to give HIS FRIENDS a chance for a LONG & PEACEFUL life without war because war was coming for them no matter what! This definitely includes Titan-users because they only have a lifespan of 13yrs (eren, armin & even reiner and others) Seeing how Eren’s character developed, it’s obvious that he knew the cycle wasn’t gonna stop. He couldn’t care less anymore for the future generations of humanity, the only thing that mattered now was HIS FRIENDS’ FUTURE. As seen in the ending they did live their LIFETIME in old age, including Mikasa 😌
