I would personally prefer these handhelds to prioritize refresh rate over resolution. We can't play at high frame rates at high resolutions on these devices yet. Plus, anything above 1080p is kinda wasted here.

1080p doesn't really change anything in 6-7 inch screen...sure it look sharp..but 720p is enough for that size

@@KuhWristChin no i mean seriously...higher resolution means better quality, no doubt. But resolution from 720p to 1080p in small screen doesn't really make any noticeable difference...other than that, most of AAA games cannot run at high settings and 60 fps on these type of handheld yet. Even if they can, 720p can provide more battery life rather than using 1080p

Just received the Legion Go Thursday would've been nice if it had a USB A port on top and and option for a 32GB model. I went with the Go because it can double as a Windows tablet with the joycons. Have a 2280 adapter OTW and will be planning on doing the 32GB RAM mod.

From the specs this looks like a beast of a handheld.

Honestly if they took all the tech from the A2 and stuffed it into an OLED deck I would preorder it now (7840U APU, 32gb ram, hallsticks and triggers, etc).

@@Audio_Revelations i found my ally Z1 was a worse performer than my onexfly when youre able to use their UI(wich this also has) to do some per game fixes that grant better fps and stability than the Z1

I expect steam to release a “pro” version of the oled , probably by winter. Upgrading everything to bring in line with its competitors in terms of power would put them in the best position to dominate the mobile gaming market (until the super switch comes out)

@@Neptune8 I don't remember where I read it but word is they're waiting for the next tech leap which means probably 1 year for RDNA 4 then ~1 more year for the APU to launch. But the OLED deck was also unexpected so who knows maybe winter it will be.

My rog ally has 120hz screen but the aoekzoe a2 even though just 60hz has way better screen to body ratio look at that screen it's bezel free and the device feels better in the hands so I'd choose the a2 over the ally

My a1 pro is amazing with ChimeraOS. With windows, not so much. But the 65w battery is what sets it apart from the rest.

Very nice but the Ally is still the one i went for and would still go for especially with the added 3080 to it but great seeing others come to the market need a few to stick and be good for gaming.

True, but the early bird pricing is good for a 32gb so if you haven't got a 7480u handheld already this is as good as it gets, and I wouldn't go below 32gb when looking at a new pc handheld now.

For GPU bound games you want turbo off. Turbo on means the cpu will take more TDP leaving less for the GPU. Most games are not that hard on the cpu so turn it off. Turn it on for titles or software that are cpu bound.

What's the refresh rate? I went thru so many websites and got NOTHING on the refresh rate

It's strange why these Chinese companies keep releasing these at laughably expensive prices, who is actually buying these outside the mega rich? Why do all these handhelds put the right thumbst so low and too far to the right. You need to support the weight of these handhelds with the base of your palm and then cock your thumb to reach the thumbstick. Do steam have a patent on their controller layout or are these companies just dumb and think let's just make it like an Xbox controller?
