But more specifically, they don’t understand how our economic system is tied to tyranny and they don’t understand how our foreign policy is spreading tyranny across the globe. The don’t see that our “enemies” are actually the nations resisting that global economic order. Most people still think that the US is supporting democracy and freedom. In fact, they don’t want to see the truth.

Got my book two days ago. Haven't had a ton of time to allocate to reading it ( just got to chapter one) and so far i have had to put this book down so many times to just reflect on the things consolidated in print that have been rattling around in my uneducated brain that are finally starting to make sense. Congrats on the book launch, Anya! I pre-ordered it long ago and expect it to arrive shortly. This was a great conversation. Really enjoyed it. One note: Chavez did NOT nationalize Venezuela's oil. It was already nationalized when he was first elected. But Big Oil (mostly Exxon Mobiil) was taking 90% of the profits anyway. What Chavez did was bargain for 50/50 (half to go to new social programs). Exxon Mobil walked out and got Venezuela's foreign reserves 'frozen' on the way out. France's Total and others agreed and things were okay for a while but not in DC which was out for blood and did the sanctions. Important to note: A resource like oil SHOULD BE a sovereign resource. Venezuela's pre-Chavez government (liberal not socialist) was just doing what Norway and others have done. But for such a resource to benefit the people, they need a fighter like Chavez on their side.

Great talk, sounds also like it's a great book! There's just one catch: Without expropriating and thereby disempowering the corporations (aka socialism) necessitating these aggressive policies, the US and the other NATO powers can never be peaceful states in the world. It really is socialism or barbarism as Rosa Luxemburg said.

Audio very poor and hard to understand. Subject matter way to important to let this happen. Love you guys, truly you are hero’s and truth tellers but you dropped the ball with the poor quality. Again, way to important of a subject to let this happen.
