I am surprised that Anurag Kashyap has no idea that "Mithila Makhaan" was the first film made in Darbhanga which won the national award in 2016. The latest film in Maithili by the same maker (which is me) is "Jackson Halt". Infact first Bihari film to win National Award. Nonetheless, Badey badey logon se chhoti chhoti galtiyaan ho jaatee hai. I love Achal films and thankfully Maithili movie will become like Malayalam or Bangla under his leadership in coming years.

The man has to refresh and redeem himself, to get back to his element, that he s been up until gangs of wasseypur era. Indian cinema is evolving just right with regards to content, be it theatre worthy stories that captivate people the OTT space, and the appetite of audiences in general. He can truly be one of the greats of Indian cinema and earn reputation that he was always worth but never got in his career, Pan India Btw I always imagine an AK version of Animal, he'd have made that film truly better than Vanga, at least story and screenplay wise
