Anupama Bhagwat: Raag Jog
Anupama Bhagwat was the opening artiste at the recently concluded Khayal Rang festival, now in its fourth year.
One of the leading disciples of Pandit Shri Bimalendu Mukherjee, doyen of the Imdadkhani Gharana, Anupama’s style is characterised by scintillating fast taans, mastery of the meditative alaap, and brilliant fluency of melody (raga-bhava), while remaining true to tradition.
She concluded her recital in Raag Jog. She was accompanied by Zuheb Khan on the tabla.

How many Artists are there who can really play Khayal on Sitar, not more than two or three, and surely, Anupama Bhagwat is one of them. May the Art flourish and open up a new chapter in playing the Sitar !
She is simply pure genius. Rare to find such pure raag bhaav, unadulterated with gimmicks these days.
Her control during fast tempo is what all musicians should aspire to. Anupama Bhagwat is a true master. Brava!
Such a divine raaga and the way Anupama ji rendered is superb. Zuheb Khan accompanied masterfully.
What amazes me is that artists like Anupama Bhagwat is so passionate and relented as she entertains us all. I follow a number of artists Rooper Penesar, Kaushiki Chakarbarty _ _ _ and many more, love them all for making us happy.

She is one of the finest sitarists of India. Listen to her renditions of ragas like Shahana and Sudh Kalyan. Amazing!

dinesh376 if you read the description directly below the video, you will find all the relevant information about the artiste. Also the name of the tabla player is mentioned there. His name is Zuheb Khan.
