I studied Vivaldi in school and upon researching him I was shocked at how he was just forgotten to die after what he has done. Vivaldi composed the four seasons at an all girls orphanage he worked at and he would play it for them and teach them. he was a devoted priest but unfortunately his health got the best of him. he was nicknamed the red priest growing up and also among the people who knew him. he eventually became broke and entered poverty and his life ended with him literally dying on the streets of Vienna, forgotten. he didn't even have a proper burial for somebody who has made such ingenious music, he had a very simple burial that was paid by the public hospital fund. he composed such beautiful and timeless music yet his life ended in such tragedy. he may have been forgotten at the end of his life here, but he will forever live on with his music.

@@maryoop7920 he went to Vienna as a last resort to try and make a living from his music again. It worked for a little bit as the emperor would host Vivaldi but after the emperor died Vivaldi had trouble making a living and died in poverty around a year later. He died of an internal infection. The music taste had changed and Vivaldi and many others were struggling as a part of this. He also had severe asthma and couldn't even recite the mass because his chest would tighten up. It's very sad but I can imagine his smile knowing millions of people are listening to his music now

Honestly though, in a spiritual sense he lived the perfect life. Blessing the world with his music, serving God and humanity all the way, and dying not with earthly riches but instead as a pauper who has abandoned all the vanities of mortality.

Thinking that this piece was written more than 300 hundred years ago and we can listen to it at anytime and anywhere with just our cell phones are mind blowing. This is an incredible privilege that most of us don’t even aware of. In classical times only handful of people were lucky enough to listen to these masterpieces, maybe only once in their lifetimes…

@@presidentofyugoslaviajosip9960 I am afraid that you should lay of meth. Vivaldi's music is formulaic and thus it all sounds the same. He first establishes a melodic idea (Sometimes it is just arpeggios in the strings) and Develops it with a circle of fifth progression and then he writes a few variations on that. His music lacks depth and is predictable. The opera world doesn't care about his operas either (Famous singers don't sing it). His Sacred vocal works never reached the height of those of Bach, Mozart, and Handel. Mozart wrote better music when he was Kid that Vivaldi when he was middle-aged. Listen to Mozart's Motet in G Minor(8years old, Missa Brevis In D Minor(12 Years Old), Missa Solemnis In C Minor (12 years old). Vivaldi is Just a mediocrity. Here are some ACTUALLY GREAT COMPOSERS: 1. Bach 2. Mozart 3. Beethoven 4. Handel 5. Schubert 6. Tchaikovsky 7. Brahms 8. Debussy 9. Ravel

Io penso che sia incredibile che a Venezia non ci sia un festival dedicato a queso genio. Non esistono nemmeno i cioccolatini!! Impariamo dai tedeschi! La musica di Vivaldi dovrebbe risuonare in tutte le calli della città!

As an artist of Baroque Period,Vivaldi followed many artists. The artist who existed at the time of his birth were better than each other. He is one of my favorite artist. Congragulations .👋💐🎼🎻

I love him, I love him and I love him ... no composer means so much to me as Maestro Vivaldi. All my respect fot others (Bach, Mozart, Handel, Corelli etc.), BUT when I hear this man ... simply GENIUS. Only he can do this with me. By the way: I can see that Vivaldi is very popular composer in general. He is able to touch your heart by his music very easily. His style is really unique.
