As a norwegian i am extremely excited about the Nusa deal. Our national team has just been different gravy with him on the wing. He can make absolute havoc. Brave, technical and extreme pace. Reminds me a lot about Doku at City. Just has that flair about him. Having someone like that under Ange is going to be exciting!

Ange will need to be convinced that he really WANTS to join Spurs, if he's not sure, or maybe interested elsewhere, then Ange will leave him where he is. He never convinces a player to come on board if they are unsure it's what they want.

People who criticize Royal must have a short memory. Ever since he improved through all the criticism and toxic jeers from the fan, I’m always gonna defend him. RB was a problem position for us for a long time since Walker left. And I dare say that this is the only position that we have the quality doesn’t drop as much from first to second choice. Porro is playing exceptional, but should Porro become unavailable I know Royal will do great. He scored that goal vs Brentford, and when we started the season consensus was that Royal would be the starting RB. He’s a great player who did very well in unnatural position. He deserves our support.

Hi Alli. A Norwegian here. The letter æ is a cross between an a and an e. The english word Bad would be Bæd in Norwegian, but since the Norwegian language have roots from danish, sometimes it’s pronounced like an e alone. In Stabæks case it would be like this, if you read it in pure english: Staaabeck 😊 And for fun about scandi languages: AA like in Haaland, the double a is prenounced as the a in ball. Like an O if you will. An Å is just the same as a double AA, and lastly: Ø, its prenounced like the U in fks the word Burn. Hope this helped as you obviously are interested 😀

You’re completely right about VAR, takes too long time and the decisions will still always be questionable. It was so refreshing to watch Leeds’ last game (Rodon is a proper player btw), there was a handball situation, the ref saw it and pointed at the penalty spot. The whole sequence took around 30 seconds, no stopping the game to look at the situation for 4 minutes from different angles and no debate over whether his arm was in a natural position or not. The only VAR thing I want is goal line technology.

Thank you for the video in these dry times of Spurs content! I want to credit Perisic with being one of the first players to tell the Spurs Nation to trust Postecoglou. And if I remember correctly his argument was, "this system, this coach, will win trophies and I want to be a part of it." Roughly. I remember this because I remember it was soothing and reassuring at a time before we had evidence that Ange was our guy. Bless Perisic for that bc his enthusiasm led to an easier transition into Spurs for Big Ange and his staff. Thank you Ivan

Thanks, Alasdair for the video. Emerson has earned the chance to stay at Spurs if that is what he wants. Greatly improved since his early days at the Lane. Only a huge bid should tempt Spurs - enough to cover the Conor Gallagher transfer for instance. While I would love to see Troy Parrott be a big star at Spurs he seems to need to play regularly to really shine and I wonder whether he will get enough chances under Ange. Especially as there is now Veliz to try and fit into the line-up. Maybe it would be better for Troy’s career to permanently play somewhere else?

VAR should have made Toney retake the free kick and the ref should have booked him. I cannot believe how lenient all the pundits were about this, Ashley Williams even had the audacity to blame the Forest defenders. Toney took no responsibility for his gambling ban, opting instead to play the victim card; he has shown no respect for Brentford and basically made a "come get me" plea to Arsenal over the summer. He is fast becoming one of the most unlikeable players in the prem.

The players Spurs are bringing in all seem to level headed and grounded and see Spurs as a step up a chance to prove they can play for a big club. Johan Lange as worked wonders along with Scott Munn. Ange really has made sure he has a team around him that is like him. Always felt Conte and Para used Spurs to sell there own brand it was the Conte Para show. Under Ange has the football as the show. Got in Lange and Munn as he knew they want to be behind the scenes and make it about Spurs not there own ego. It's what Spurs always needed

Ali you recently mentioned that Josh Keeley (GK) was out on loan at Barnet. Tonight I saw him play away at Ice Station Zebra against my home town team in very windy conditions. Barnet looked marginally the better team till just before half time when a defender gave away a stupid penalty when there was no real danger. The attacker sent Josh the wrong way. 1.0 . Amazingly Barnet gave another penalty away in the second half and this was hit like a rocket to the top corner. So no chance. Josh did not have all that much to do in the game but he caught the ball well in swirling wind and his positioning seemed good. In the 80th minute he made an excellent one handed acrobatic save tipping a strong shot over the bar. It was not his fault that Barnet lost 2.0. Hope he does well in the future.

My view is that this is Season 1 of building a squad that will ensure sustained success for Spurs and put us alongside the Man Citys and the large European clubs. I am confident that when Ange is finished, Spurs will be winning plenty of trophies. I wonder if the Dragusin signing will allow Ange to play the back 3 formation at times (he used when managing Australia) would love to see it with Deki and Johnson as WB's (wingers under Ange's 3 at the back system). Surely we cash in on Emerson - good bloke it seems - but not a perfect fit for Angeball, especially as the Dragon can play RB. Would love to see Nusa, my barometer is football manager and I'm in 2030 and Nusa is worth £230m and has won the Ballon D'or, sign him up haha - but in all seriousness, looks like a real prospect. Great stuff as always Ally

Emerson is a very good squad player, that can cover many positions. I would not sell him, for less than £40 million pounds

I lived in Italy for 10 years and am fluent in Italian . I speak 5 languages but Italian is definitely my favourite. It just flows so nicely. I did Latin as well which helps a lot to learn Italian 🇮🇹 💪 🤓

Yes, Ali, you said "obviously" within the first minute ... but you also said "weird" (twice?) within that minute. I don't think you've ever not referred to something as weird in a video (often yourself), at least as long as I've been watching, (maybe 3 years). But please don't stop! I actually smile when you say it now ... comforting familiarities & all that. Is that weird of me?

Alasdair, you don't need to eradicate "obviously" from your vocabulary. Almost every time you use it, it's perfectly legitimate. Don't worry too much about the comments (unless it's this one)

Hi Ali, thanks for the usual great video. As one of the founder members of the Tanguy fan club, it must sadden you to see the player Nbombelly has become. It is such a waste of talent. They say the difference between a very good player and an elite one is the last 10% in the brain. As someone who has lived with mental health problems all my life, Tanguy obviously has issues which should be supported and understood. Mental health matters.

Alasdair, I'd be interested to know whether you think there's any chance re Conor Gallagher that Spurs, having made their interest clear, are now willing to sit back and wait for Chelsea to initiate the sale (for FFP purposes) - if they can't find another buyer.

I think if the lad wanted to come it would have happened by now. Chelsea and Spurs aren’t exactly bosom buddies, and he’s their captain!
